Mobile phone connection options with GPS devices for correction data (RTCM) Mobile phone with GPS device can be connected through serial port or Bluetooth. The phone itself has to have ability to run an Internal Ntrip client program in case the GPS device does not have internet connection possibility through the mobile phone. In this case the phone will send correction data to GPS device through Bluetooth or serial connection. If the GPS device is capable to make internet connection through mobile phone, in this case it is enough for phone to have Bluetooth Dial Up Networking (DUN). 1. Examples of connections using mobile phone with Bluetooth Dial Up Networking (DUN): a) Trimble GeoXH_RTCM.pdf b) TSC2_RTCM.pdf 2. Examples of connection using mobile phone with Internal Ntrip client program Geo++GNMobile. a) Trimble R7_RTCM.pdf Geo++GNMobile can help communicate with device through serial port and send the correction data to the device. Unfortunately we do not have any reports about that. But you can read more about Geo++GNMobile software here: gnmobile_userguide_en.pdf. We have used NOKIA N95 for our tests. This phone has Symbian operating system, CLDC 1.1 and MIDP 2.0, Bluetooth , files connection , location API. For Android phones I believe having NtripClient and Bluetooth SPP apps installed it would be possible communicate with the GPS device also. Dalia Prizginiene 1
