Macbeth Rap by Miss Romanay’s English Group
Group 1: Jonathan, Joe, Joanna.
Shakespeare was a man
He has lots of fans
He wrote lots of plays,
So here’s a phrase
Double trouble
boil and bubble.
Macbeth was in lots of pain,
And he played lots of games.
He was a big hero
But went down to zero.
He wanted to be King
He had lots of bling.
Soon, he became dead
Because he was a dread
Group 2: Caitlin, Phoebe, Noah.
So let’s tell the story.
So it was one day
Beware, it might be gory!
Macbeth made his way.
He made his way through the wood.
He saw some light,
Oh my goodness, what a sight!
There in a clearing – hags in rags.
They told his future, what he wanted to hear
Oh how kind,
they read my mind.
Macbeth, we think,
is tickled pink!
Delighted he ran back to his castle
Telling his news to Lady Macbeth.
Little did he know
that his murderous plots
Would end in his own
violent death!
Group 3: Aaminah and Aaroun.
Macbeth saw the dagger floating in the air,
And this gave him quite a scare.
The dagger seemed to have a terrible glow.
Macbeth knew soon blood would flow.
So Macbeth crept to King Duncan’s room
And over him the dagger did loom.
Macbeth he was really sad
Because he was turning bad.
Group 4: Kye, Katie, Harry
After the witches cast their spell
Macbeth went with some news to tell.
Lady Macbeth is feeling cruel
‘Coz she’s the one who wants to rule.
So in this rhyme,
comes a terrible crime.
The Lady M said to poor Macbeth
Go to bring King Duncan’s death.
Lady Macbeth is evil and mean
And poor Macbeth is not so keen!
Group 5: Sean, Daisy, Kieran.
He opened the door,
And heard Duncan snore.
Macbeth grabbed the dagger,
And became a stabber.
Macbeth felt sad
and very, very bad.
The “King is dead!” cried the village,
“There has been a great big killage.”
Macbeth went home to tell his wife,
Holding in his hand a blood covered knife.
Group 6: Michael, Jack and Maryam.
Lady Macbeth is so evil,
She smells just like diesel.
She left daggers for the guards to get the blame,
The wicked lady felt no shame.
There was so much blood,
It stained like mud.
She acted like a witch,
She should be in a ditch.
Her crooked nose,
Is shaped like her toes!
Group 7: George, Daniel and Joshua.
Banquo’s ending was Macbeth
Slice of a neck became a death.
The murderers were big the murderers were strong,
The sadness lasted all day long.
Banquo’s body was thrown in the ditch,
This created a vision of a witch.
Group 8: Ellie, Hollie, Ben, and Oscar.
Macbeth sends guards to kill Duff’s wife
And stabs her with a shining red knife.
Next the guards go out to kill the kids
Then he cut their skinny little ribs
Duff heard the terrible tragic news
So he sailed out to abuse.
So then he started a big war
It surely couldn’t last any more.
Macduff put the sword up to ‘beth’s neck
It only took one slice to go through his neck.
