Extra Credit assignmentfor Chapter13
Here are two chancesfor you to earn someextra credit basedupon the informationyou
have beenlearning in Chapter13. The first part is a political cartoonbasedupon an event
or idea from Ch. 13. Someideaswould include:the GreatDepression, the New Deal, the
rise of Hitler or Mussolini, women's role in society, changingculture or any other event
that was mentioned. Keep in mind that political cartoonsare pictures that make a
comment about an event or portray it in a comical way. We have examplesin the room,
or you can seeme for somehelp with ideas.
The secondway to earnextra credit is to write a2-3 pagereport on the changingculture
in the 1920's and 30's. You are to pick 3 of the topics we discussedin classon section
13-1. You shouldtalk about what developmentscameaboutin that field, what changed,
who important people/works were, why it was important, how does it reflect the society
of the time or what peoplewere experiencing.
You may do either assignmentor both. The amountof extra credit will be determinedby
the quality of the work you turn in.
