Ocean Zones Illustration Project
Using the paper that I have provided, make a poster that illustrates the following
ocean zones: intertidal zone, neritic zone, photic zone (also called the euphotic
zone), disphotic zone, and aphotic zone. Within each zone, give a brief
description. In the description, include the following information: location of the
zone, depth of the zone, characteristics of the zone (sunlight? nutrients? water
temperature? ) and discuss 4 types of organisms found in each zone. Your posters
will be used by your classmates as an information source about ocean zones so
make them look presentable. Look at the example that I have provided as an
outline. This example does not include the neritic zone or the intertidal zone, both
of which you should illustrate and describe.
There is information about some of the ocean zones in the stations activity that
we did last week on Edmodo.
Wikipedia has good information about all of the ocean zones.
