Bar Blast
A great class for targeting the upper body muscles!
For 35-40 minutes, using a strength bar you will
progress through a range of resistance exercises,

stability and balance exercises. Using a stability ball,
Fitball helps to improve your overall body tone and

Bokwa step & up is an innovative approach to traditional
step aerobics. As you progress through each of the
movements, the letters, numbers and signature moves
remain consistent with all other Bokwa programs. We
have taken pride in maintaining the integrity of the
Bokwa letters and numbers, while incorporating a step.
Class Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your booking please
inform us.
If you are a member and can’t attend a booked class
then you MUST cancel your booking before 8pm the
day prior to your class booking. If you do not attend a
class you booked the booking cost will be charged to
your membership account.
If you have activated your membership online the
quickest way to cancel would be to visit your online
login and cancel your booking via the view or amend
my booking section. If you are trying to cancel your
booking by telephone please be aware during busy
periods it may be difficult to reach a Customer Service
Advisor. If we can’t get to the phone, please leave
your name, membership number, class title, time and
class centre name via voicemail before 8pm the day
prior to your class booking. Any cancellation requests

Aqua Boot Camp
Taking the boot camp into the water this class offers
different circuits in the pool each week for an
amazing full-body workout.
Adult Swim
Enjoy the tranquillity of the pool and boost your
wellbeing whilst getting fit at one of our pools.
Aqua Box
Aqua Box mixes boxing training with yoga toning
in the water. A great way to burn fat, sculpt muscle
and strengthen your core in a challenging and fun
environment.
Aqua Fit
This fun water-based aerobic workout gives you the
benefit of a whole-body workout, without impacting
on your joints.
Aqua Zumba
Taking the energetic dance moves of Zumba into the
pool for added resistance, this is a great class for
toning and is much easier on your joints.
Fun 4 All
A great family session with a range of equipment
available to put some extra fun into your swim.
Inflatable Fun
Enjoy some extra fun in the pool with our
fantastic inflatable obstacle course. A great
high-energy session for kids.
Swim, Slide and Waves
Take on the Red Ripster Slide, the Wave Machine,
Water Canon and Water Rapids at Swim, Slide
and Waves! These sessions are great fun for all the
family.
Swim Fit Lane Swim/Early Birds
Swim Fit offers a free online poolside club and gym
style workout programme for the pool. Whether
you’re looking to lose weight, increase your fitness
level or compete there is a Swim Fit programme
just for you.
Tri- Swim
The perfect class for those with an ambition of
entering a triathlon or just wanting to improve their
technique. A coach* is on hand for support as you
learn to speed swim as well as swim long distance.

Adult Swimming Lessons
Whether you are a non-swimmer or feeling ready to
improve, coaches will take you through the basic
strokes and techniques until you feel confident and
safe in the water. For ages 16 and over.
Aqua Explorers
With a specialist underwater instructor, your baby will
be guided through a range of underwater exercises
and movements to capitalise the natural reflexes
developed in the womb. For ages 0-3.
Ducklings/Wally Walrus and Maddie the Monkey
These sessions will aid your child’s development
and confidence both in and out of the water whilst
improving mobility and supporting their growth. For
ages 0-3.
Pre Ducks
You will accompany your child in a structured
swimming lesson, delivered by a qualified swimming
teacher. Once your child is confident enough, they
can progress to our Little Ducks
lessons. From age 2 years.
Little Ducks
Little Ducks sessions are delivered by qualified
swimming teachers and are a great way to develop
your child’s swimming ability and confidence in and
out of the water. For ages 3-4.
Learn to Swim
Learn to Swim teaches a wide range of skills to
create a competent, confident and safe swimmer
who then has the skill base to develop technique in
a variety of water based sports. For ages 4+.

Child Admission Policy
All Active Tameside swimming pools excluding Active Hyde have in place the following child admission
policy. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by a responsible adult aged 16 years or over
at all times in the ratio of 2 to 1. Any non swimmers or weak swimmers despite their age will be required
to stay in the shallow end of the pool. Every swimmers ability and admission into deep water is our leisure
attendants and management discretion.

DUCKLINGS
TINY TUMBLERS
Ducklings is a great way
to encourage your baby or
toddler to explore and enjoy
the fun of learning to swim.
With your assistance your
child will develop a range of
vital skills that will help them
stay buoyant in the water,
improving their confidence
both in and out of the pool.
Ducklings welcomes all babies
and children 18 months+ and
will work on shaping their
ability progressing through our
Duckling Awards.
These fun sessions are great
for parents and children to learn
together! Each tiny tumbler
session will last for 1 hour and
begins with a 30 minute structured
sessions delivered by our British
Gymnastics qualified coaches.
These sessions cover a circuit of
activities that have been adapted
to meet that week’s theme. The
second half of these session will
consist of free play, much like our
Gym Tots sessions where you’ll
have free reign of our Gymnastics
centre, enjoying our great range of
equipment together.

fun for your little one! With
