Headteacher Awards

Mad Science Club
Mad Science Club starts next Wednesday, March 3rd, 3.35 – 4.45; it will run for 6 weeks,
the last date being 21st April.
Football Club
Football Club, with a coach from Tiverton Town Football Club, will start again next
Wednesday, March 3rd. If your child would like to take part in this club please return the
slip from the bottom of the letter sent home yesterday together with a cheque for £10
made out to the “Tiverton Town Football Club”, thank you.

Usborne Book Fair / World Book Day
Next Thursday, 4 March is World Book Day and we will be holding an Usborne Book Fair
in the school hall after school from 3.30pm – 4pm. All the children will be issued with a £1
book token which can be used at the book fair.

Silly Hair Day
Next Friday, March 5 , we are holding a “Silly Hair Day” to raise funds for various school
committees e.g. gardening gloves, seeds, CD’s, badges etc.
Children may pay £1 to come to school in any kind of hair style; please ensure any colours
used are able to be washed out easily.
Children still need to come to school in school uniform.

Valentine Prom
Valentine Prom photographs will be available on Monday – please see photos and order
sheet outside the school office.
Questionnaire
Please return the questionnaires, sent home or e.mailed this week, by March 5th, many
thanks.
Uniform
We have just received a delivery from our supplier; we now have all sizes of all uniform
items in stock.
Headlice
We have had a case of headlice reported to us this week; please check you child’s hair
regularly and treat if necessary.

New After School Clubs
Cooking Club – Fridays, 5 , 12th, 19th, 26th March and 1st April. 3.45 – 5.15pm, £5 per
session which includes food to take home.
Textile Club – Mondays, 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd March. 3.30 – 4.30pm. £3 per session. To make
clothes using dress making patterns which can be purchased in local fabric shops (e.g. Fine
Fabrics in Taunton, Heathcotes factory shop in Tiverton).
Scholastic Book Club
Please find attached the latest book club leaflet with lots of excellent books and offers;
if you would like to place an order please send it in to school, with payment, by Friday 12th
March, thank you.
Art Shirts
If you have any unwanted mens shirts that we could use for art shirts we would be very
grateful to receive them.
Vouchers
Sainsburys have started handing out Active kids vouchers; there is a box in the school
office for you top place these vouchers in.
Tescos will begin handing out their vouchers on 1st March – please keep an eye out for
them.
If you use Flora at home you can register the tokens, inside the lid, on line or bring them
into school for us to do.

Family Service
The Family Service on 14 March at 10am will be a Mothering Sunday celebration; all mums
will receive a posy of flowers.
