Viognier 2000
Men sweat, women dew. The Yalumba
viognier reminds us of the latter, thank
goodness. Indeed, the wine conjures up
the image of the nape of a tall brunette’s
neck. She’s making Vietnamese rice paper rolls; her hands are covered in the
smells and flavours of mint, lime, and a
bit of syrupy, chilli dipping sauce. This
viognier is also rich and long..It’s like
nectar, in more ways than one. If this is
viognier, then let’s plant more of it.
