Daoism, “Kungfu Panda,”
and Philosophy of Life
This will be a student panel discussion from Professor Youru Wang's Daoism class along with students
from his Religions of the World class. This student panel is sponsored by the Department of Philosophy
and Religion Studies, as part of Rowan's Asian Pacific Cultural Month activities.
The panelists will connect various themes of Daoist philosophies of life with stories from the popular
movie “Kungfu Panda.” They will explore the inspirations and perspectives from both. Student panelists
will discuss interesting examples from a different culture and religion that will help you navigate our
unstoppable world of diversity. The best part of the movie “Kungfu Panda” will be shown at the beginning of our discussion.
Open to the public. All are welcome.
