Vegetation Condition Benchmarks version 1 Dry Eucalyptus Forest and Woodland DAS Eucalyptus amygdalina forest and woodland on sandstone: (woodland) Community Description: Eucalyptus amygdalina forest and woodland on sandstone is characterised by an open canopy of E. amygdalina, uneven in age and tending not to exceed 25m. They are dry sclerophyll communities with tall shrubby understoreys and a shrubby, heathy, sedgy and sometimes grassy ground layer. This benchmark is one of 2 benchmarks available to assess the condition of DAS. It is the appropriate benchmark to use in assessing the condition of the woodland component of the listed Eucalyptus amygdalina forest and woodland on sandstone community (Schedule 3A, Nature Conservation Act 2002).
