Cisco WebEx Connect – Frequently Asked Questions

Cisco WebEx Connect – Frequently Asked Questions
Contacts
Q: How do I add someone as a contact?
A: Begin typing the person's name in the field labeled "Search for people"
located below the Contacts tab. Click their name, and then click the link
"Add to Contact List".
Q: Why do I sometimes receive a "response pending" notification when I
attempt to add a contact?
A: The contact you're attempting to add has a setting enabled which prompts
for each contact request. You'll see "response pending" until they accept
your request. The contact may also deny your request.
Q: When searching for contacts, why do I sometimes see what appears to be
duplicates?
A: Connect looks at both your Outlook contacts and the Unisource global
address book. If you have someone in your personal contacts listing that is
also in the global address book, you may see them more than once.
Q: How can I move contacts between groups?
A: Use the drag and drop method. Click and hold the contact's name, drag to
the desired group, release the mouse button.
Q: Can I add a contact to more than one group?
A: Yes. Click the button "Add new contacts or groups" next to the "search for
people" field, find the contact, and then choose the additional group.
Q: What's the quickest way to locate a contact in my contacts list or within a
group?
A: Type their user name in the "search for people" field at the top of the
contacts listing.
Q: How do I change my font, sounds, etc.?
A: These settings are called preferences. From the menu bar, click File, then
Change Preferences. There are several tabs that allow these kinds of
changes. After making changes, click Apply, then OK.

Both of these can be performed by right-clicking on the group name and
