“I believe we have some of the cleanest school buildings in the state,” is how
Matt Routley describes the Enterprise
City Schools.
Routley is the ECS Maintenance
Supervisor, responsible for more than
1 million square feet of buildings and
nearly 300 acres of land.
The custodial staff is tasked with
cleaning over 1,162,000 square feet of
facilities system wide. The facilities maintenance department has the responsibility of maintaining over 1,131,700 square
feet of facilities. “Our maintenance team’s
skills include carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, food service equipment,
welding, painting and concrete finishing,” Routley said. “I am confident that we
are blessed with one of the finest maintenance teams in the state.”
Routley said the ground maintenance team oversees more than 290 acres.
Part of their responsibilities are cutting
the grass, maintaining the flowerbeds
and trimming the trees and shrubs.
“These are the people that not everyone gets to see,” Routley said. “These are
the people who get things done.”
