Carpenter Park is located at 3498 E. 112th Ave., and is open daily from 6 a.m.-11 p.m. Carpenter Park amenities include: • paddle boat rentals • sand volleyball courts • indoor carousel • bocce ball • outdoor amphitheater • horseshoe pits • birthday party facility • shuffleboard • sprayground • lighted tennis courts • playground • pavilions • skatepark • trails • basketball courts SPRAYGROUND HOURS OF OPERATION Opens for the Season: Saturday, May 21 The sprayground will be on a timer for sporadic daily operation from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. weather permitting. SPRAYGROUND GUIDELINES • The water is chemically treated; please don’t drink the water. • Bicycles, skateboards and other wheeled devices are not permitted on the spray pad. • No animals allowed on or near the spray pad. • Children who are not toilet-trained must wear plastic pants or a swim diaper and must be checked or changed often. Changing tables are located in the boathouse restrooms. • In the event of severe weather, do not use the spray pad and seek shelter. PAVILION RENTALS The two larger pavilions in Carpenter Park are available to rent for private events. Visit webtrac.cityofthornton.net to reserve a pavilion for your event.* AMPHITHEATER RENTALS The amphitheater can only be reserved by calling 303-255-7800. *Must contact our registration staff at 720-977-5901 to acquire a login/password prior to reserving online. 4 SUMMER 2016 BOATHOUSE/CAROUSEL HOURS OF OPERATION Open Saturdays and Sundays only: May 7-22. Saturdays/Sundays: 12-6 p.m. Opens for the Season: Friday, May 27 Fridays: 4-7 p.m. Saturdays/Sundays: 11 a.m.-7 p.m. BOATHOUSE FEES: Boats Fees 2-person paddle boats $4 Resident/$7 Nonresident 4-person paddle boats $7 Resident/$9 Nonresident 2-person canoes $4 Resident/$7 Nonresident Private 5-boat fleet rental $100/hour Resident Call 720-977-5917 for availability. $150/hour Nonresident BOATHOUSE GUIDELINES • Life vests are required for all patrons using the boats. • If a child is under the weight requirement of our smallest life vest (30 lbs.), the child will not be allowed in the boat. • No private boats or floating devices allowed in the lake. • No swimming or wading allowed. • No food or drink allowed in the boats. • Dogs are not allowed on the boats (service dogs excluded). • No one will be allowed to use a boat if they are suspected to be under the influence of alcohol or other substances. CAROUSEL FEES: Carousel Passenger Fees Under 1 year of age Free Everyone Else $1 per ride Frequent Rider Pass $20 for 23 rides CAROUSEL GUIDELINES • All riders must be at least 42 inches tall to ride alone. • Supervising adults must stand next to the carousel animal and hold onto their child. • One rider per animal. • No food, drinks, gum, balloons or smoking on the carousel. • No bare feet or wet clothing allowed on carousel. • Maximum weight for riding animals is 250 lbs.
