OUR EVENT ON MARCH 13, 2016
The Michigan Buggy Builders Show began as a simple swap
meet, and it evolved into a “trade show” after a few years when
some of the local manufacturers and larger businesses began setting up booths. The show has continued to grow with professional
booths and a full line of new products, but you can also scrounge
around and find lots of rare “garage finds” that people bring from
their private collections.
THE 35th ANNUAL EVENT
WILL BE ON MARCH 13, 2016
Get ready for another great show! The Michigan Buggy
Builders VW & Off-Road Trade Show and Swap Meet will be
celebrating its 35th Annual event on March 13th. Be sure to
mark your calendars now, and you can also flip to Page 3
inside this newsletter for more details about the location, event
hours, and how to reach us for additional information.
Each year, the event changes slightly, and it seems as if you
never know what you’ll see or find at this event. Reason being,
there are always new people who come to the show and set up
selling spots with used parts that they pull out of their garages.
Everyone is welcome to sign up for a spot, and we make it easy
for friends to purchase multiple spots and set up next to each
other so they can help each other during the day. If you have
questions about doing this, please feel free to contact us and we’ll
be more than happy to explain the simple process.
This year’s event is sure to be bigger and better than last year.
Many of the same exhibitors from the past have committed to
booth spaces for this year, and a lot of new people have
already inquired about selling spots. We hope you also take
advantage of the large crowds that attend the show by reserving a booth to sell your used parts and spares. It’s always a
good time!
What makes this event unique is that it takes place in a professional “trade show hall.” The show is held in the three main halls
at the Lansing Center, in downtown Lansing, MI, and this is a
one-day event. People ask us why the doors do not open to the
public until after 10 a.m. The reason is that we are not allowed to
open to the public until the vendors have moved their vehicles out
of the building. So, if you want to enter the show halls early, you
will need to purchase a spot. The prices are fair and you can
share a spot with your friends.
We are grateful to announce that B&L Sand Toys will be the
lead sponsor for the 35th Annual Michigan Buggy Builders
event. They are joined by co-sponsors Appletree
Automotive, Don’s Sport Vehicle Sales, ACME Car
Company, Alpha Fab Industries, Hot VWs and Sand Sports
magazines, Drew’s Off-Road, Barnum’s Bug Barn, LA
Products, Whitehill’s Buggy Shop, MOFOCO, German
AutoWerks and US 131 Motorsports Park.
Ask anyone and they’ll tell you this is a great event and it’s always well
worth the price of admission. We do everything we can to make it fun
for spectators, as well as people with selling spots. So, if you have any
additional questions or if you’re thinking of getting a spot for the first
time, we encourage you to call now before we sell out. We hope you
join us for another successful event.
B&L will also be back with their impressive exhibit of off-road
parts, suspension components and other parts for your sand
and trail machine. They will also have a full line of RC Cars,
videos from events they sponsored during 2015, and information about vouchers and season passes for the Silver Lake
State Park. Don’t miss out!
You can also count on getting good deals from the other businesses that support this event. One of the reasons many of the
attendees tell us they come to the show each year is because
there’s always something new to find from the private sellers.
Who knows what treasures are hiding inside someone’s
garage, until they bring them to the Buggy Builders swap meet.

EXHIBITOR REGISTRATION FORM
SELLING & SHOWING SPOTS: The size of each space is 10-feet wide by 12-feet long for $80.00. Two people will be admitted free
per spot. 2 more passes can be purchased for $25.00 each, which are for people that will help set up your booth. You will receive one
vehicle pass for each space rental. This will allow one car or truck with trailer to enter the Lansing Center. This means you will need to
have all your stuff in one vehicle NOT 2 or 3. If everything is not inside one vehicle, you will have to unload outside and carry everything
inside. Friends who want spots next to each other need to be in line together before entering the building.
Deadline for purchase of extra worker passes will be March 5, 2016. Make sure you have all that you need by then. We will not sell
any after March 14th, and you can not purchase any at the door, unless arrangements have been made by phone for will call.
TABLES are $15.00 each for a 8-foot table, plus a $50.00 deposit that will be returned at the end of the show when you turn in your
table. ($50.00 deposit applies whether you rent 1 or 15 tables).Table rental is not required, but offered as a convenience.
Chairs are $3.00 each to rent, or you can bring your own.
All spots are reserved in advance by full payment. After March 5, 2016 any available spots will be $85.00 each. There will be no refunds after March 5, 2016. Remember, this event sells out every year. To insure you receive a spot, sign up early!
A Confirmation Letter, your Exhibitor Tickets, and the Vehicle Passes will be mailed to you.
ELECTRIC for show or selling spots is $60.00 for up to 3 plugs that you plug into the Lansing Center.
SHOW CLASSES: Unfortunately, due to limited interest and a decline in Show Car entries, we will not have a Car Show at the event
this year. Exhibitors are encouraged to bring display vehicles, and there will be several off-road cars and vehicles of all types on display.
However, we will not be presenting trophies at the event for custom vehicles this year. Please contact us if you have any questions.
