Writsel 2015 Ditch Maintenance As we all know, the weather for the beginning of 2015 has been frigid and definitely not “user friendly.” This made ditch maintenance difficult but we were complete all off work we had planned this winter. Work will commence in the fall. Ditches cleaned by PCE this year: 1) Hughes Main Ditch, 6,880 linear feet, crews repaired 3 tile outlets. 2) Hughes Lateral 1, cleaned 6,122 linear feet, crews replaced 3 crossings and repaired 4 tile outlets. 3) Wolfe Run Ditch, 6,975 linear feet, 12 tile outlets repaired. 4) Braskett Ditch, 1,372 linear feet, crews repaired 3 tile outlets. We try to do our part in
being a “Greener”

PCE crews cleaning out Hughes Lateral #1 Plans for the Future Pickaway County Engineer’s Department is planning for restoration of each of our 28 ditches to its original design. This is planned to be complete within the next 4‐5 years. The plan involves cleaning and reshaping, fixing erosion, and repairing tile outlets. Still on the Agenda Because of the harsh weather conditions and subzero temperatures in the month of February, work was unable to start on the following:  Blue Anderson Ditch  Bulen and Bulen Ditch  Congo Ditch  Greenbriar Extension We will begin work on these projects in the fall of this year.
