The Fishbone
Several causes can result in an effect. Students learn to visualize a sequence of causes,
also known as events, as they develop into an effect, also known as a result.
Write an effect in the head of the fish, such as the American Revolutionary War or the
Cold War, or the Haymarket Riot. List the causes on the little bones of the fish body that
lead to the head where the effect is already written.
