Smart Money
Every day, we make a lot of choices about our
money. Here are some tips to help you make
smart decisions about your savings!
Keep your savings out of sight: By having
your money tucked away in your Save-a-Lot
Squad account, you will not see your cash
in front of you and you will be more likely to
save it.
Look for the best price: Before you buy a
toy, remember that the same item might be a
better price somewhere else. Have a parent
or guardian help you compare choices so you
can save some money.
Plan ahead: Take
a few minutes to
figure out how
much money you
will need for the
week and keep
the rest in savings.
That way, you will
not have extra
spending money.
From falling leaves to football, there is a lot
to love about autumn. For this contest, draw
a picture of your favorite thing about the fall
season! You can use crayons, markers, craft
supplies...be creative!
Two randomly-selected winners will each
receive a $25 deposit* into their Save-a-Lot
Squad account!
Drop off your masterpiece at any of our
branches or send it, along with your name,
address, and phone number to:
MSGCU - Marketing Dept.
4555 Investment Drive
Troy, MI 48098
You can also have an adult help you send
the drawing to [email protected].
The deadline for entry is Nov. 25, 2016.
*Contest limited to members ages 12 and under. No substitution
for prizes. Winners must be a Save-a-Lot Squad member of MSGCU
at the time of selection. No purchase necessary. Only one entry
per member. The winners will be contacted by phone during the
week of Nov. 28, 2016. By submitting this entry, you consent to the
reproduction of and/or authorize the use of your images, words,
and likeness for promotional and educational purposes by MSGCU.
Relatives of MSGCU employees and Official Family members are not
eligible to win.
Did You Know...?
Ever find a dollar bill in your pocket after laundry
and wonder why it is not ripped? Even though cash
is frequently called “paper money,” it is not actually
made entirely of paper!
Dollar bills are made of 25% paper and 75% linen.
That means your money is closer to a T-shirt than
actual paper!
Spooky Scramble!
In this Halloween-themed puzzle, unscramble the names
of these popular costumes!
