Grade 3 Newsletter 25/08/14 Hi everyone, We all had a great week during Book Week. Everyone’s costumes were fantastic, thanks for all your effort. Multi-age day was lots of fun and it was great to be able to work with other children from all areas of the school. It was great to meet our visiting author, Kayleen West, who brought her puppets along to entertain the children. She read two of her stories to the children and these books are able to be purchased via the order form that has already been sent home. IMPORTANT DATES 4th September: Father’s Day Stall 17th,18th & 19th September: Somers Camp HISTORY UNIT The history project has been going really well so far. Everyone is looking forward to presenting their work in week 9. We will endeavour to let all our parents know the dates and times of our presentation as soon as we know them ourselves. GRADE 3 CAMP On camp, students are expected to perform a number of chores such as making their beds every morning, tidying up after themselves, preparing for meals, setting tables, scraping their plates, stacking the dishwasher, wiping the tables, showering themselves and personal hygiene such as brushing their teeth and doing their hair. In preparation for these camp chores, where possible, we would like students to be completing these tasks at home. SWIMMING Swimming was such a great success last week.
