eral was revoluti onary fo r his time. Blmd by the age
of seven and orphaned by the age of frfrecn.Charles
did nOI feel bad fo r hi s dr sac vanr ages and used
Bra ille to become proficient in the pillno, clarinet,
trumpet and saxophone before his sixteenth binh
day.
Throughout his Illustrious ca reer C harles wo n
twelve Grammy awards. the Presidential Medal for
l he Art s, and was one of me inaugural m us icia ns
into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986. BUI
