Position: TAX AND GENERAL LEDGER ACCOUNTANT Reports to: ACCOUNTING CONTROLLER Location: Austin, Texas Full Benefits About the Job
The Tax & General Ledger will utilize experience in GL & Tax accounting to assist in
areas of cash planning, budgeting and tax compliance. Assist Controller in financial
reporting, accounting period close, audit preparation and related tasks. Manage
international compliance reporting: financial statement preparation, audits, tax returns
and other tax matters. Provide in-house tax processing and work with external
providers. Achieve tax cost savings and minimize risk in state, Federal and international
transactions
Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare multi-state, local and sales and use tax returns
• Multi-state property tax reporting and renditions
• Prepare tax based financial statements and coordinate preparation of Federal return
• Plan and execute financial statement preparation, audits and tax filings for 2 foreign subs
• Monitor and maintain the company’s cash flow plan and debt compliance reporting
• Assist controller in accounting, analysis, monthly close and reporting as required
• Prepare tax disclosures and footnotes related to annual audit
Requirements:
• Education: Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 4 years of multi-state franchise, property, sales and use tax experience
• Minimum 7 years GL accounting experience with a solid understanding of GAAP accounting
• Other Required Skills: Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office programs
• Good communication skills, highly organized, NetSuite or Quickbooks experience a plus
• Familiarity with European VAT rules and reporting process
