Helping Homeless Animals across the U.S. One Penny at a Time
what is pennies for paws?
Pennies for Paws is one of the www.bathetosave.com, Bathe To Save National Tour’s year-round fundraiser
for children, businesses, organizations and ANIMAL LOVERS in all 50 states. Our goal is to gather
1,000,000,000 pennies in the next 18 to support millions of dogs and cats in the USA that are killed in shelters
each year, and those animals that live homeless suffering with disease, malnutrition, neglect and abuse, as
well as in your own neighborhood. We believe in the compassion of each community to help us out and
donate to help make a difference.
Bathe to Save has partnered with The Animal Rescue Site to connect local animal rescues in all 50 states
with the Pennies For Paws funds you collect.
We need Pennies for Paws volunteers everywhere in all 50 states and every city. Every cent counts,
everyone (all ages and income levels) can contribute, and those pennies can quickly and easily add up. It is
easy to sign-up and rewarding to participate.
Check for pennies, dimes, nickels even quarters, under your seat cushions or car seats, in drawers, your “spare
change” jar or the ones you find on the sidewalk, we are counting on each and every one of you! Remember,
an animal in need is a friend indeed.
pennies for paws mission
To educate the community, especially young children, about responsible pet ownership, spaying,
neutering and adoption
To strive to teach young & old that there is ALWAYS something that can be done. The creation of
Pennies for Paws program is a manifestation of this mantra.
To stress, that if you can't adopt, foster. If you can't foster, volunteer. If you can't volunteer, donate. If you
can't donate, spread the word about the needs of homeless animals, and be a part of the solution.
To create pawsitive, happy endings for the homeless pet population throughout the U.S. through
animal rescue & rehoming, as well as adoption, fostering and volunteer involvement.
every little penny helps!!
This is often the first experience for many children in volunteering
or giving to charity. Your level of participation can be as large or
small as you wish. By collecting spare pennies, nickels, dimes
and quarters, they learn that even the most humble of gestures
will make a huge difference in their own community.
According to national studies, more than 80 % of family members
being treated for child abuse also had abused animals. In 2/3 of
these cases, an abusive parent had killed or injured a pet. In
one-third of the cases, a child victim continued the cycle of
violence by abusing a pet.
Anytime children are encouraged to take care of pets and get an
opportunity to understand that a pet is a lifetime commitment is
a positive towards reducing the need for shelters and rescues
and the millions of animals euthanized each year in our country.
Teaching compassion to children leads to compassionate
children becoming compassionate adults. Part of the
compassion we are teaching is to rescue these animals and give
them a better way of life. Charity and the act of giving is a great
way to instill in your students the sense of responsibility and
respect towards homeless animals.
Compassionate adults
make up compassionate communities. Isn’t that a world we all
want to be a part of? Please help both kids and animals by
participating in this enriching program!

HELP Us End Homeless Animals!
Our Bone of Contention & why we created Pennies for Paws:
Approximately 3.9 million animals (1.2 million dogs) are killed in U.S. shelters each year.
One unspayed dog & her unaltered offspring can produce 67,000 dogs in seven years.
Only one out of every 10 dogs born will find a permanent home.
60% of dogs in shelters never find a home.
Many strays are lost pets not properly kept indoors or microchipped.
All dogs should be treated equal despite their breed.
The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals estimates 3.9 million dogs enter animal
shelters each year. 1.2 million adoptable dogs are killed simply because there was no one to adopt them.
There are over 165 million households in the U.S.; 79.7 million have pets. NO dogs (animals) should be
killed in shelters. They truly can all be saved. As dog lovers, Bathe to Save is passionate about the
well-being of our furry friends and want to raise awareness of the numerous benefits of animal adoption.
The first Dog’s Life We Changed!
My name is Bubbles! I am a 9 month old Tzitzu
mixed breed puppy, and I’m so excited to get to tell
my story. My amazing new family, the Amos’ are
incredible animal lovers and so passionate about the
welfare of all my four-legged friends. They just knew
their 18-month, 50 state, 150+ city Bathe to Save
National Tour could not be complete with a tour
mascot to speak on behalf of all my millions of furry
friends waiting to find their fur-ever homes. I was a
tiny 9 week old puppy who found my way into a
Florida no-kill rescue after being abandoned by my
owners because my mom kept having too many
puppies. They still didn’t want to hear about
spay/neuter after they dropped me off. I was given
shelter and medical care, and couldn’t understand
what I had done wrong to be taken from my mom.
Not long after, the Amos family found me on Petfinders.com and I was adopted!!! They’re such great
humans, and have the coolest accents, and call me their favorite “mate”.
It is now my job as #1 Puppy Spokesperson for the Bathe To Save tour, to help find lots of Pennies for
Paws volunteers to help my deserving furry friends find perfect homes to live the rest of their life with a
loving, dream family just like me.
About the Bathe To Save National Tour
Our goal is to raise over $1 Million.
The Bathe To Save Tour was the brainchild of our incredible kids, Bella, 13; Austin, 12 and Aria, 11 who saw a
need and decided they wanted to work hard and create a massive impact with a unique solution.
Our family has taken a year and a half off from ’normal’ living, crossed continents and embarked upon a 50
state, 150+ city tour around the US to raise money and awareness for animal rescues and to expose benefits of
animal adoption spreading the message: “Don’t Shop…Adopt."
We are visiting shelters and rescues, hosting events & fundraisers, bathing dogs, promoting animal adoption,
saving lives and giving back 100% of our event proceeds to animal rescue organizations across the country!
Every 26 seconds, a dog is euthanized in a shelter somewhere in America. Someone’s companion. Someone’s
protector. Someone’s best friend.
The ASPCA estimates 3.9 million dogs enter animal shelters in the United States each year. It is also estimated
that 1.2 million adoptable dogs are killed simply because there was no one to adopt them. Many shelters do
not have enough funds or resources to meet the needs of these adoptable animals.
Our mission is to save the lives of those 1.2 million dogs that never find a home each year by raising money and
awareness for animal rescue.
