Office Space Required

The Ministry for Competitiveness and Digital, Maritime and Services Economy would like to receive offers for
the lease of office space which is in a ‘ready to move into’ state, of around 600 square meters.
The following are mandatory criteria:
1. Building is covered with the relevant MEPA permits and can be used as offices;
2. Building has a minimum area of 600 square metres which can be used as office space in addition to the
following:
i.
Two boardrooms, to house up to twenty (20) people each
ii.
Comprise three common rest rooms (3 for women and 3 for men separately)
iii.
Comprise one storage area for supplies (approximate 50 square meters)
iv.
Comprise a space area of approximate 50 square meters for achieves and records management
v.
Comprise of an adequate reception area
vi.
Two kitchenettes with basic self-catering amenities
3. The 600 square metres should incorporate one (1) Executive office suite, comprising of large desk-area,
cabinets, small boardroom with own restroom and nine (9) executive class offices, comprising desk-area,
cabinets and conference table;
4. Building has available garage spaces and/or dedicated on-site parking facilities for at least 9 cars (which
must be included in the price);
5. Building is user friendly and provide accessibility for the disabled on all levels;
6. Building should have air conditioning facilities;
7. Building has installed lift facilities if office space is spread on more than one floor and/or is not at street
level;
8. A minimum di fermo rent of 3 years with an option to extend for further periods.
9. CAT 5e structured cabling and 2 network points for each desk.
The Ministry reserves the right to negotiate with a preferred candidate following an assessment of the property
and an evaluation of the submissions received. The award criteria will be on a most economically advantageous
basis. The right is reserved to reject any of the submissions made. The Ministry also reserves the right not to
proceed further with this call for proposals and not to enter into any contract.
Interested parties are asked to submit the following documentation:
a. Full-scale MEPA Permit Plans & site plan;
b. A description of the premises, including the exact location, photos of the façade and photos of the internal
area;
c. The rent fee requested per square metre per year for the office space;
The indicated information (a, b & c) is to be submitted in a sealed envelope, and deposited at the Directorate for
Corporate Services, Ministry for Competitiveness and Digital, Maritime and Services Economy at Level 5, Palazzo
Spinola, St Christopher Street, Valletta by noon of Friday 12 August, 2016.
