Since there are only seven nurses trained in the smoking cessation model in question and each of the 60 participating doctor’s offices in the BCFHT are creating their own unique ways of implementing the model with patients based on the information these nurses have shared, our evaluation will assess whether having only a few nurses trained is adequate for reasonable continuity of the program among all offices in the Family Health Team. The adequacy of training in the smoking cessation model will be assessed. Currently, the 60 BCFHT offices rely on information provided by only seven nurses trained in the model. As a result, continuity in the use of the model from office to office is a concern.
