CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
All of our classes are instructed using a variety of intensity modifications, making them
suitable for both beginning and advanced participants. We offer classes for all ages, all
levels and all interests.
Barre Toning: Utilizing the barre (or ballet bar), this class is a
total body workout that lifts your seat, tones your thighs and burns
fat in record-breaking time. Toning is the fastest, most effective, yet
safest way to challenge your body.
Bosu & Bells: Utilizing both kettlebells/dumbbells as well as Bosu
trainer for cardio bursts, this class will incorporate intervals of both,
with changing formats throughout the weeks. Modifications will be
shown for all moves.
Circuit Craze: If you are short on time and can't decide between
cardio and strength training, why not do both? By combining
stations of cardio and resistance training, this class keeps you
constantly moving and wondering what will happen next. Lower
impact options will be shown.
Cycle: A 45-60 min. high energy class using stationary bikes and
motivating music that gives you an efficient and challenging
cardiovascular workout. REGISTRATION REQUIRED AT FRONT
DESK UP TO 30 MIN. PRIOR TO CLASS
Wacky Wednesday Cycle: Crazy outfits, the brighter the better
for this Cycle class!
Karaoke Cycle: Belt out your favorite tunes, while still getting a
killer workout! This Cycle class will combine classic techniques with
the fun addition of sing-along karaoke!
Foam Roll & Stretch: Loosening up the connective tissues
increases muscle flexibility, in addition to reducing pain. Check this
out for a dedicated stretch for those sore or overworked muscles!
Hard “CORE”: Join us for a class dedicated to your core!
Strengthen and tone those abs in this killer workout, strictly devoted
to the midsection!
H.I.I.T: High Intensity Interval Training! A total body
workout, with instructors switching up the class format constantly.
Expect a lot of great changes to keep the body guessing what is
coming next! Combines Strength, Cardio, and Core.
Hip Hop: This cardio dance class will focus strictly on the
combinations of crazy cardio moves and hip hop routines! New and
current music, along with some old favorites!
Hip Hop Step: Join us for the only Hip Hop Step class offered in
the Tri-Cities! Everything you love about Hip Hop, but adding the
Step for a killer burn, and familiar choreography.
Kickboxing: Functional fitness in its highest form. This class
combines punches and kicks along with cardio intervals. An ideal
format for achieving an intense, fat-burning workout.
Line Dancing: Line dancing is an easy way to have fun while you
exercise your body and your mind. This class will focus on more
than just learning dances - it incorporates variations, choreography,
plus much more.
Pilates: A core stability and body conditioning mat-based class
which combines correct breathing, body alignment and form to
accomplish goals of improving strength, flexibility, posture and
uniting body and mind in a stress-free atmosphere.
Pilates Fusion:
Tone and sculpt your muscles in this fun, upbeat
fusion class of Pilates, yoga, and "barre" routines.
PiYo: A fusion workout based on the principals of Yoga and
Pilates. It is a low impact, yet high energy workout that will
improve your balance, strength and flexibility as well as burn
calories, promote weight loss and visibly improve muscle tone with
regular practice.
Pop HIIT: Combining choreographed aerobic/strength moves with
awesome music will have you forgetting you are even working out!
High Intensity Interval Training meets QUAKE/Hip Hop!
POUND: A full-body cardio jam session, combining light resistance
with constant simulated drumming. The workout fuses cardio,
Pilates, isometric movements, plyometrics and Isometric poses into
a great workout you won’t forget!
Power Cycle: Join us for a 30 minute Cycle class guaranteed to
feel like a full hour! Intervals, Sprints, Climbs, anything goes!
Q.U.A.K.E: Quick Unbelievable Aerobic Kinetic Energy! Think about
this as dance class meets cardio interval insanity! High cardio Hip
Hop and Latin songs will be combined with explosive cardio intervals
for the ultimate “fun” burn!
Q.U.A.K.E Lite: Combines the energy of QUAKE without the
plyometrics. Working in an interval/toning style format, join us for
a “Liter” version of QUAKE!
R.I.P.: This pre-choreographed weighted bar routine will
accomplish muscle fatigue with tons of killer reps! This particular
release (#16) will run from April-June hitting all the major muscle
groups.
Cardio, Classic, Yoga, and Zumba Lite: These classes help to
improve overall strength, flexibility and balance, resulting in your
ability to stay healthy and maintain your independence. Join us for
MSROM Classic, Cardio Circuit, Yoga Stretch, Interval, or Zumba
which will have you dancing while you workout! These classes are
perfect for those starting their Group Ex, who want to learn the
moves, and to get a jumpstart to other classes!
Sports Conditioning: Anything goes in this interval training class.
Prepare for an awesome workout, which is always changing!
Step: Step aerobics is a form of aerobic power distinguished from
other types of aerobic exercise by its use of an elevated platform
(the step). The height can be tailored to individual needs by
inserting, or removing risers under the step.
Stretch & Flex: Feeling tight after all your workouts? Looking for
a relaxing stretch for your entire body? This is the class for you.
Strength & Sculpt/Strength & Sculpt Xpress: This weightbased class will feature exercises/formats that incorporate toning
and abs. Little or no cardio, so you can focus on those trouble
zones, and find a suitable modification if needed. Join us for
“Xpress” to experience this class in a short, but strong, 30 min.
Tabata Xpress: Need a killer workout but short on time? This 30
minute interval class will leave you breathless! Cardio and strength
intervals working with the 20/10 Tabata protocol.
Tabata HIIT: Interval training class using only the 20/10 Tabata
training protocol!
Tai Chi: Simple, low impact movements that increase flexibility,
balance, range of motion, vitality, relaxation, mental focus, strength
and overall well being. Each student can learn at his/her own pace
in a relaxed, noncompetitive atmosphere. The exercises are safe for
all ages, but please let your instructor know if you have any physical
limitations.
TNT “Tighten & Tone”: This class will help with those pesky
“trouble zones,” tightening and toning the entire body, for a great
workout! Swiss ball, bands, weights...anything goes!
Yoga: Learn and master movements that serve to increase blood
flow, balance, flexibility, strength, relaxation and mind-body
connection.
-Gentle Flow Yoga: Much like Power Flow, but suited for even the
most beginner Yoga participant.
-Power Flow Yoga: A variety of Yoga postures and flowing
sequences designed to condition the major joints and muscles
groups will be practiced. Deep abdominal breathing along with
other types of breath work will be practiced. In addition to
developing strength and flexibility, this class will also build stamina.
Each class period will start with basic postures and sequences to
thoroughly warm the muscles and move towards more challenging
sequences.
-Restorative Yoga: Restorative Yoga is a gentle healing form of
Hatha yoga that is practiced with props to provide a supportive
environment for total relaxation. Only 5-6 Restorative poses are
practiced per class. These gentle poses create physiological
responses which are beneficial to your health and can reduce the
effects of stress-related illness. The class is slow, deeply nurturing
and suitable for all ages – particularly those with chronic pain or
limitations.
-Yogalates: An invigorating blend of Pilates and Yoga, designed to
strengthen core as well as toning muscles and increasing flexibility
and body awareness.
Zumba®: Combines high energy and motivating music with unique
moves and combinations that allow the Zumba participants to dance
away their worries. Jackie will also be adding cardio bursts in her
Tue/Thur/Fri classes!
Zumba® Step: All of the Step toning and strengthening for your
legs and glutes. All of the Zumba® fitness-party fun you love.
