Teachers were close by to review the colors and shapes. Some infants explored only one bead, while others tried to attach them together. We found that some instruments were loud while others were quiet. We learn to: Experiment with sounds We learn it by: Use rattles, musical instruments, and other objects that make sounds. WORLD Element Math Counts Activity: We worked with the large soft blocks on the mat. The infants tried stacking the blocks on top of each other and then watched them fall over. We also heard songs relating to each animal. We followed as they floated through the air, landing in various places. We attempted to catch some of the bubbles and pop others. Well Aware We learn to: Build communication skills Build hand-eye coordination Become familiar with many different textures and flavors We learn it by: Eating in a group at the table Having teachers that are responsive to the infants hunger cues WORLD Element Science Rocks/ Movement Matters Activity: The infants used their motor skills to fill the trucks and transport the sensory bottles from one area to another.
