Calibration of force
measurement equipment
– National reference laboratory
National reference laboratory
FORCE Technology has been appointed as national reference laboratory in the area of force among others. This
provides immediate benefits for authorities and businesses:
The laboratory provides traceability in accordance with The
Danish Accreditation and Metrology Fund, DANAK under
Reg. No. 9, which comprises calibration of instruments for
the measurement of static force in the range 0.1 N - 5 MN:

Lifting jacks
Weighing of large structures
Rubber hardness meters
Materials testing machines comprising push/pull and
universal testing machines, hardness equipment, concrete testing machinery and impact resistance devices.
Calibration
Accreditation comprises calibration either in our laboratories, at your premises or where you might otherwise require.
At our modern laboratory we record temperature, humidity
and air pressure and we measure the local gravitational
acceleration. Where it is necessary there are instruments to
counteract seismic influences.
Quality and documentation
Calibration is carried out under accreditation and in precise
accordance with the requirements specified in our comprehensive quality assurance system. The system contains all
the elements for assuring the highest quality calibration,
measurements and docu-mentation. The system is constantly monitored by DANAK (The Danish Accreditation and
Metrology Fund).
Calibration is carried out in accordance with (inter)nationally accepted standards. These establish equipment precision, measuring environment, the number of calibration
points, etc, and any requirements rela-tive to classification
of equipment. Moreover, calibra-tion can be carried out in
accordance with the re-quirements or special wishes of the
requisitioned. An accredited calibration certificate which is
recognized both nationally and internationally is provided
as documentation.
Participation in international cooperation
Based on our many years of activities, our laboratory has
built up a stable and comprehensive network of contacts
such as DKD, VMPA, PTB, LNE, WECC, ECISS/CEN, NORDTEST, NORMET, EURAMET, IMEKO, CCM, EA, DANIAMET.
Our participation on standardization committees, technical
work groups and the implementation of ring calibrations allow us to obtain the latest knowledge and knowhow, which
can be used to the benefit of Danish industry - which is
extremely useful in both export and competitive situations.
Furthermore, the laboratory has been included on the German recommendation list “Verband der Materialprüfungsämter, VMPA” of approved calibration laboratories for the
calibration of materials testing machinery in Germany. Our
international work is a powerful confidence-building tool
and forms the basis for mutually acceptance of measurement results.
Consultancy services
In addition to routine calibration work FORCE Technology is
able to provide measurement assistance customized to even
the most difficult of tasks. We are able to analyse your problem and thus work out the best possible solution. Assistance
can be provided at your premises tailored to your resources.
