Shakoya Green, M.A., Regional Director for Aacres CA, LLC., has over
8 years experience working with people with intellectual and
developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors. Her experience
includes working with both children and adults in a variety of settings.
As the Regional Director for Aacres CA, LLC., Shakoya oversees the
operation of three licensed homes and supported living services..
Shakoya completed her Master’s Degree in Psychology in 2008 and is
currently working on her Master’s of Social Work (MSW) and plans to
pursue licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

Qualifications: Lamont Davis is the Administrator. Lamont has experience with Aacres
as a Lead Staff at one of our three licensed homes. He provides
supervision, coaching and mentoring to DSP staff. He has 17 years of
experience working with both children and adults with intellectual and
developmental disabilities. Lamont’s experience includes working with
Area Board 10 and completing Life Quality Assessments, working at
licensed homes as an Administrator and Lead Staff. He has worked as

Currently we support people in 2 licensed homes in the HRC area and
one licensed home in the North Los Angeles Regional Center area.
We also support people in Supported Living Services. The people we
support across all services, have mild to severe impairment in
cognitive functioning, a variety of medical conditions and behavioral
challenges. Supports provided within community settings include
intensive supervision, habilitation and support with personal care,
mobility, medical conditions and / or skilled nursing services,
therapeutic interventions, and positive behavioral supports.
Specialty Services: Special services are specialized training, treatment, and/or
supervision required by the IPP and provided by the facility in addition
to direct supervision. Aacres services are tailored towards individuals
with behavior challenges including: verbal aggression; physical
aggression; self injurious behaviors; elopement; property destruction;
food hoarding; taking things that belong to others; and/or medical
issues, such as: constipation; swallowing difficulties and special
dietary needs. We will work with individuals needing Restricted Health
Condition Care Plans. We also work with Occupational Therapists,
Physical Therapists, Nutritionists, Dieticians, Nurses, Behavior
Specialists, and other consultantsbased on the individual needs of the
people served.

Staffing Pattern:
Staffing patterns will be based on the needs of the people living in
the home, and will be provided within funded hours to meet those
needs. Direct Care Staffing will meet required levels of no less than
one direct care staff person at all times when clients are under the
supervision of Aacres staff, one direct care staff person for up to two
clients in the home, and at least 54 additional weekly hours for each
additional client. Additionally, staffing requirements will meet
contracted requirements of Harbor Regional Center.
There will be forty (40) hours of speciality consultation per home and
(10) hours per client per month based on client need and IPP. This
can be any combination of nursing consultation,behavioral therapy,
occupational therapy, physical therapy etc.

Staff will be certified by the California Department of Education Direct
Support Professional Year 1 and 2 prior to working in the home. Prior
to being primarily responsible for clients, staff receives a minimum of
60 hours of orientation that is completed within the first two weeks of
employment. In addition, staff will receive 12 hours per year of training
to include: In-Service trainings from Behavioral and Nurse
Consultants and / or Pharmacy; Regional Center and outside training
as available; Therapeutic Options training in non-violent intervention
techniques; Basic First Aid / CPR training; annual training to review
company policies and procedures, especially those relating to client
services, rights, health, safety and integration.
In-service trainings will be held on focus areas identified for quality
improvement such as following treatment plans, documentation,
supervision, and medical issues. Training is competency based.
