Springfield). Take Exit 50B (Maplewood/Millburn). Turn right onto
Vauxhall Road. Slight left onto Millburn Avenue. At first cross
street, Wyoming Ave., turn right. After 2 miles, make left onto W
South Orange Ave. Turn left onto Crest Drive.
• From GSP Northbound- Take Exit 145 to 280 W. Take Exit 10.
Turn left onto Northfield Avenue. Use Northfield Road Ramp
to make left on Pleasant Valley Way. Slight left to Cherry Lane,
which becomes Brookside Dr. Turn left on W South Orange
Avenue. Turn right on Crest Drive.

The Griffin Bridges Program is specifically
designed to meet the needs of inner city young
men, regardless of race or creed, by providing
them with an environment where they can learn,
develop, and thrive. In addition to a four-year
commitment in financial aid, scholars and their
families are provided with an extensive support
network which includes:
• an alumni Mentoring Program
• a Peer “Big Brother” Program
• a Four-Year Counselor
• a Full-Time Program Director

one in five young people living in or near New
Jersey’s inner cities do not complete their high
school or college education. In fact, in some of
our largest cities, over fifty percent of students
do not graduate from high school, and many of
those who do, are not adequately prepared to
continue their education or compete successfully
for jobs. These young people are often left
without hope, thus denying our society and
economy of diversity and new talent. Young men,
in particular, are most at risk.
Founded as a formal program in 1993, The
Griffin Bridges Program provides educational,
financial, and social support to enable
academically talented, financially limited young
men from Newark, east orange, orange, and
Irvington, to attend Seton Hall Preparatory
School, the state’s oldest Catholic college
preparatory school.

them to the event. Donations are tax deductible
as allowable by law. Donors will receive a letter
from Seton Hall Prep acknowledging their
