Español I Unidad 5, Lección 1 Los objetivos: I can identify vocabulary related to a house, furniture, and household items. (p. 267) o “Identify” means that on the test you will not need to spell out these vocabulary words, but you must be able to recognize them and know what they mean. I can recall ordinal numbers to identify the order of things, and to talk about the floors of a house or building (p. 258, purple handout). o “Recall” means that you must be able to spell out the ordinal numbers on the test. You also need to know how to write ordinal numbers so that they are grammatically-correct when describing nouns. Does the ordinal number match the gender of the noun it is describing? Be careful with the first and third ordinal numbers! I can complete sentences by choosing the correct form of estar or ser. (p. 253, purple handout) o Know when to use estar and ser, and also know all of the forms of each verb. o Study examples, examples, examples! Besides for p. 253 and the purple handout mentioned above, here are some other resources that contain examples of estar vs. ser that we did this chapter: 5-1 Estar vs. Ser WS #1, 5-1 Estar vs. Ser WS #2, Workbook p. 200, 202, Paragraph describing your room (be prepared to write sentences like these on the test!)
