When we receive your application we will invite you into College for an informal discussion with one of our experienced adult guidance staff. What will you do on the course? To achieve the full Access Diploma you will study three modules over one or two years. This qualifies you for university entrance and gives you the nationally recognised diploma. Each module requires approximately three hours attendance at College each week and you are expected to spend time completing private study. As the courses are intensive, full attendance of lessons is essential in order for you to be successful. If you are a daytime student you will also have tutorial sessions. Wherever possible, daytime classes are timetabled between 9.30am and 3.00pm to enable children to be taken to and collected from school. Full details of the modules are enclosed. To achieve the full Access Diploma, you will also need to complete the Study Skills Module which will be completed alongside one of your subject modules. Access to Higher Education How is the course assessed? You are fully supported by your teachers so don’t worry about this. Much of the assessment is by coursework, assignments and written projects throughout the year however in some modules there are end of course examinations. What does it cost?
