Commonwealth Academy Parents’ Association
November 2014
Welcome to Broadway Cafe!
Welcome, families and friends, to Broadway Cafe! We are so happy to have you here tonight. Thank
you for supporting the students of Commonwealth Academy through CAFÉ Night, the Parents’
Association’s signature fundraising event.
First-rate educational technology has always been a hallmark of C/A; we are committed to keeping
apace of the fast-moving developments in this field. Our event proceeds will be directed to the
acquisition of cutting-edge educational technology to benefit all students at C/A. We are confident that
our fundraising efforts will have a significant impact on our students’ educational experiences in the
coming months.
We dedicate this event to The Stars of The Show: the students and faculty and staff of C/A. We
are so fortunate to be part of this community. Tonight we celebrate the great work of the school
and our belief in our students’ futures
Organizing an event of this magnitude is a labor of love, and we are deeply grateful for all the
assistance so generously offered by many parent volunteers, parents of C/A alumni, friends,
extended family members, teachers and staff. “Many hands make light work,” and make the
work a lot more fun! We offer heartfelt thanks to every individual who contributed to making
every aspect of CAFÉ Night so enjoyable and successful.
Please remember to thank all the merchants and vendors who have been so eager to contribute
to CAFÉ Night. We appreciate their support of C/A very much, and we encourage you to support
them in return. They are great friends.
When you bid on auction items, remember that our students and the amazing Commonwealth
faculty and staff are the beneficiaries of your generosity! We hope that you have lots of fun:
make some new friends, have a few laughs, relax with a beverage and delight in the delicious
food offerings. Thank you very much, and we look forward to greeting you throughout the
evening!
In community,
Catherine Grossman and Melissa Feld, 2014 Broadway Café Co-Chairs
