DATE AND PLACE The CCl Task Team on Climate Risk Management will be held in Guayaquil, Ecuador from 13 to 14 October at CIIFEN Headquarters located at: Escobedo 1204 and 9 de Octubre Avenue. Edificio Fundación El Universo (first floor) and will be conducted in English. VISA/ENTRY REQUIREMENT All visitors to Ecuador are required to have valid passports, while visitors from some countries may need to get entry visas. All participants are kindly requested to inquire about visa requirements from the nearest Embassy/Consulate of Ecuador in their respective countries. Please contact WMO Secretariat and submit the attached form* in case you need a letter of support to be directly sent to the Swiss Consulate in your country. If required, the host also could provide a letter of invitation in support of the visa application; participants are requested to directly contact the host for this purpose. TRANSPORTATION BETWEEN AIRPORT – HOTEL – VENUE Transportation at the time of arrival to Guayaquil city will be provided by CIIFEN free of charge, this service will cover transportation from airport to the hotel destination. CURRENCY The official currency of Ecuador is the US dollar. Foreign currency can be exchanged at some local banks and exchange offices in downtown Guayaquil; however, this is not readily available. It is suggested that visitors bring with them US dollars for their personal expenses. Hotels and major stores will accept international credit cards but very rarely will accept foreign currencies.
