Clubs meet?
What is 4-H?
4-H is a youth led organization that encourages
Learning by Doing by providing fun opportunities for enhancing
creativity, encouraging confidence, and equipping leaders.





For youth grades K - one year post high school
Families join or form clubs that meet throughout the year
Youth take leadership roles within clubs
What are 4-H projects?


How do I join 4-H?

West Otter Tail (WOT) 4-H has several
different types of clubs that you can join!
Some clubs specialize in certain areas, others
are held after school, and traditional clubs
cover all interest areas.
Fun, hands-on, challenging learning
experiences on subjects chosen by
the 4-H’er.
Everything from rabbits to robots,
woodworking, photography & more.
Whatever your interest area, there is a
place for you in 4-H!
What can I do in 4-H?


Call 218-998-8760 to talk with the 4-H
Program Coordinator, Tammy Nordick, to find
the right club for you.

What does it cost?
4-H is free to join! Some opportunities may
have a fee but scholarships and waivers are
always available.
Most Clubs meet once a month at
member’s homes, community
centers, churches, etc.
The 4-H year begins in the fall but
you can join any time.

Who runs 4-H?

University of Minnesota Extension
conducts the Minnesota 4-H Program
through county coordinators.
Local volunteers and other
organizations work in partnership with
county staff.



Compete at the county & state fairs
Attend camps as counselors or
campers
Attend leadership trainings in
Washington, D.C.
Compete in the 4-H bowling
tournament
Serve as 4-H Ambassadors
Compete at State events
(Dog Show, Horse Show, State Shoot, Project Bowl)
