Have you ever heard of the Spontaneous Generation?
The spontaneous generation theory was embraced by Greek mythology and adopted by one of the most famous Greek philosophers:
Aristotle. In the 4th century B.C. he compiled and expanded the work of prior natural philosophers and the various ancient explanations
of the appearance of organisms. People believed for a long time that living things evolve from non-living things.
And for millennia the Origin of Life was thought to be the result of "Abiogenesis" (since it was as well-known as the "Spontaneous
Generation"); to an even greater extent in the 17th century there were already recipes on how to create life. Like the one given by the
physician, chemist and physiologist Jean Baptiste van Helmont to create mice... The ingredients were, sweat, underwear and a jar. So,
we will just save you the elaboration process of these mice...
Believe it or not, the theory stood its ground until the 19th century, when Louis Pasteur offered definite proof to the contrary, that
spontaneous generation was discarded. Pasteur showed that microorganisms were not spontaneously generated from non-living matter,
but arose from preexisting microbes. He showed that you must already have life to beget life or, in other words, life cannot come from
non-living matter.
As for the 21st century, it is clear that spontaneous generation is more a myth than a reality. Life comes from life and no creation
whatsoever comes from nothing... The same thing happens at SMC, where our products do not appear from nothing but from the constant
effort to understand our customers' needs.

SY3000/5000- Series Extension - 5-Port Solenoid Valve
In May 2012 we launched what was born as the Next generation of 5port solenoid valves. This month we present an extension of this valve
addressed to complete the options already launched and to make our
SY the real multi-purpose valve capable of the best performance in any
given application.
The supplementary options are as follows:
• Additional Power Saving Circuit (0.1W) - The SY presents very
low energy consumption. However, if you need to reduce it
even more, this is your option.
• Wider control possibilities - either with parallel or serial wiring
types such as Flat ribbon cable, PC wiring, EX510, terminal
block box, lead wire and EX500/EX126 / EX120. Some of the
options are for metal base and others for connector connecting
base.
• IP67 D-sub connector - for plug-in connector connecting base
• Extra safety features available as for example the
SY3000/5000 - X13 options which include a double manual
override that prevents incorrect operation.

March´s Fast Delivery product is the vacuum saving valve ZP2V. This is the product to use when
multiple vacuum pads are operated by one vacuum generator and some of them are not holding
the workpiece.
ZP2V is the ideal product for handling operations requiring flexibility. This small valve guarantees
vacuum efficiency; the vacuum pressure loss is reduced to a minimum as only those pads that are
actually holding a piece are active and consuming, and those with no contact with the workpiece
are simply off.
