Official Contest Rules
Eligibility
Students K-6 are eligible to participate. Artists may use whatever coloring items they wish, including
crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc.
Contest Period
Emailed entries must be received by 11:59 p.m. ET on October 19, 2012. Mailed entries must be postmarked on or before October 19, 2012 to be eligible. Vector Security cannot be responsible for any late,
lost or damaged entries.
Entering the Contest
Elementary school students can enter the contest by drawing and coloring his or her Fire Prevention tip
in the blank square on the opposite side of this paper, completing the Student Information section and
mailing or emailing the entry to Vector Security.

Selection of Winners
A panel of judges will choose one winner and two runners-up in each grade. Winners will be notified by
email and/or mail by November 1, 2012.
Prizes
One child in each grade (K-6) will win his or her choice of a $50 iTunes or Toys R’Us gift card. Artwork
from the winner and the two runners-up in each grade will appear on the Vector Security website -www.vectorsecurity.com/fireprevention. Odds of winning depend on the number of entries received. All
prizes will be awarded to the minors’ parents or legal guardians on their behalf.
Ownership of Entries
All entries submitted to Vector Security in connection with this contest, along with all copyright,
trademark, and other proprietary rights associated therewith, become the property of Vector Security
upon submission. Entry materials will not be returned to any entrant. By submitting an entry, you
acknowledge that if you win the drawing and coloring contest, Vector Security will own all rights to use,
modify, reproduce, publish, perform, display, distribute and promote the artwork in perpetuity without
compensation to you or any other person. One entry per student.
Use of Name and Age
As a condition of receiving any prize, each winner as well as their parents or legal guardians will be
required to consent to the use of their name and age.
Release
By entering the contest, winners and their parents or legal guardians release and agree to hold harmless
Vector Security, and each of their partners or employees, from any liability whatsoever in connection
with entering the contest, accepting any prize, or anything that may arise related to the contest.
