Students MUST review ALL Social Studies notes
on a daily basis to be successful on formative and
summative assessments. Please be sure to review
these notes with your child daily. Quizlet is an
app for apple products that can assist with this
daily review. 
Tuesday – Math
We will continue Module 5 on Fractions
this week. The week will start with a
fractions review and teacher made test on
Tuesday. Then, lessons 30-32 will be
covered with an emphasis on adding mixed
numbers and fractions. Students will use
several strategies, including number bonds,
to help them solve these problems.

Wednesday – Social Studies
(Westward Expansion)
Tests dates are subject to change.
Check agenda for changes made.
We will continue our unit on Westward
Expansion this week. Focus will be on Gold
Rush, Transcontinental Railroad, and
Immigration and how these events helped
to expand our “new nation.” Primary and
secondary source documents will be used
for students to cite specific evidence
about the three focus topics.
Technology:
Students should be
using www.mobymax.com at home as
much as possible. This is a great
website for students to use to
strengthen math skills.

section of the student binder to prepare for
daily grades, quizzes, and tests.
