100% of our Polyester Fiber Comes From
Post Consumer and Industrial Recycled Waste
All of the synthetic (polyester) fiber used in floor pads produced by Americo comes
from recycled materials. Primary sources of these materials are recycled soda and water bottles.
Environmentally Friendly Products
Our products are developed with sustainability in mind. We use recycled materials and some pads
have been designed to eliminate the use of harsh chemicals when cleaning or stripping floors.
Water Based Latex Resins
No phenol-formaldehyde resins are used in our binding process. We only use water-based
latex resins.
Recycled Packaging
All of our shipping cartons contain at least 45% recycled materials.
New State-of-the-Art Equipment
We’ve installed new multi-million dollar state-of-the-art equipment, increasing our energy
efficiency by more than 30%.
Waste Water Reduction
Our in-house water treatment facility has reduced our waste water flow by 83%.

ASTM D5511 testing shows 90% biodegradation of Americo’s Full Cycle™ floor pad
as compared to less than 7% on our conventional pads. The ASTM D5511 test is a
method that evaluates the biodegradability of plastic in anaerobic or oxygen-less conditions. These laboratory tests often show faster results than actual landfill conditions.
The actual rate of biodegradation of Americo’s Full Cycle™ pads, as well as the rate
of all plastic materials in landfills, will be slower and will vary, dependent upon actual
landfill conditions.
