Butterflies taste food by
standing on top of it. Their
taste receptors are in their
feet unlike humans who
have most on their tongue.
Humans get a little taller in
space because there is no
gravity pulling down on them.
Some types of bamboo can
grow nearly a meter a day.
Cranberries can be tested for ripeness
by bouncing them. If they are ripe
they should have a bouncing quality.
Words go left, right, up, down, (not diagonally) and
can bend at a right angle. There are no unused letters
in the grid and every letter is used only once. Find all
the words from the word list and ignore spaces.
Although the Stegosaurus dinosaur
was over 9 meters long, its brain

Why is it important to
VOLUNTEER?
One single person can make a difference.
If a whole bunch of “ones” gather together
to work on the same problem, they can
make it better-or even go away. Every
person is important, and every person can
do some good. Like you!
Three ways you can volunteer this winter:
1. Assist elderly neighbors
with their chores and errands.
2. Knit gloves, scarves and
hats for people who need
them or donate to a shelter.
3. Donate canned goods and other food
to a food bank or organize a community
food drive.

What is a Credit Union?
Credit unions are not-for-profit organizations
that exist to serve their members. Like banks,
credit unions accept deposits, make loans
and provide a variety of other financial services.
But as member-owned and cooperative
institutions, credit unions provide a safe place
to save and borrow at reasonable rates. Profits
made by credit unions are returned back to
members in the form of reduced fees, higher
savings rates and lower loan rates.
