TALENT SHOW
APPLICATIONS DUE BY February 3, 2017
TALENT SHOW DATE: Friday, April 28, 2017 at 7:00 pm
North Warren Regional HS Auditorium
Suggestions for Entries: Musical Instruments, Singing (no lip sync), Skits, Dancing, Story
Telling/Prose, Interpretative Dance, Comedy Routines, Magic Shows
 Purpose for the Talent Show:
1. Provide a fun family event that brings the entire school community together.
2. Provide an opportunity for the students to cultivate their performance skills.
3. Create awareness and raise funds for non-profit organization whose goals help those in
the community.
 Here’s How it Works:
1. Complete and return the attached application by February 3th to the main office at North
Warren Regional HS or online.
2. Each act will audition on either Thursday Feb. 16th, 5:30-8:00pm or Thursday February
23th, 5:30-8pm, in the NWR Chorus room/cafeteria.
a. You will be notified by e-mail 1 week prior as to which day/time you will audition.
3. Acts will be chosen by the Talent Show Audition Committee based on evidence of
preparation, appropriateness, originality and overall variety of talent as demonstrated
during the auditions and not based on previous performances.
a. Due to time restraints, the talent show is limited to only 20 acts. Unfortunately
not all applicants will be able to perform at the show.
4. There is no financial cost to be a participant in the Talent Show.
 Basic Rules & Requirements:
1. Applicant may only participate in one act.
2. Act must be no longer than the span of 3-4 minutes.
3. Applicant must wear full costume to audition if necessary for performance, be well
prepared and rehearsed. *No changes to the performance accepted after auditions.
4. Applicant must be a current student in 3rd – 12th grade from Blairstown,
Frelinghuysen or Knowlton Elementary School, North Warren Regional Middle or
High School sending districts, or be accompanied by a current student.
5. Talent Show Production Committee reserves the right to approve or reject acts
based upon appropriateness, preparedness, stage presence and appropriate attire.
6. Any musical accompaniment must be provided by the participant on CD or iPod.
7. Mandatory dress rehearsal will be held on April 12.

Auditions will be held in the NW high school Chorus Room. You will be advised via email
with a specific audition time/date the week before. We will do our best to accommodate your
