A Letter of Thanks to Our Doctors
On the occasion of National Doctor's Day, we thank you for your dedicated service to our hospital and staff.
The citizens of Shelby, Henry and Spencer counties are fortunate to have so many excellent physicians providing quality
health care close to home. We recognize the challenges of being a physician today -long hours, the sacrifices of your family time,
and the difficult situations you deal with on a day-to-day basis. Your work ls appreciated.
Whether counseling a patient in your office, setting a broken arm or stitching a cut, performing a life saving procedure or a
preventative screening, or even on those occasions of having to console a grieving family - you make a significant difference in
all our lives.
Thank you for all you do ....not just on Doctor's Day, but every day!

A Special Tribute
Thank you, Dr. William Powers for your 38 years of service to our hospital and community.
Dr. William Powers has been serving the families of our community, providing high quality medical care for over
30 years. To our hospital family, he is a well respected compassionate physician and friend.
When asked to describe Dr. Powers, here's what a few of our employees had to say: he has a wonderful sense of humor;
always calm in emergencies, never ln a hurry, always taking time to talk with patients and their families; he's very caring, and
never complained about being called or coming to the hospital in the middle of the night; he's extremely thoughtful, he sees the
big picture, very respectful and considerate of others; one of the most kind physicians I've ever worked with, always treating
nurses with respect, never shows anger; Dr. Power's is an all-around wonderful person!
Author Leo Buscaglia once said, "Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear,
an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around." Dr. Powers has been
putting these actions into practice throughout the years, truly touching thousands of lives with compassionate care.
