Which countries have the highest number of subscriptions in 2000? Did number of telephone subscriptions increase in 2010 compared to 2000? What is the share of countries which passed 100 million subscription limit in 2010? 2/5 2) Methods What is the average number of subscribers in the countries? To calculate average number of subscribers in the countries I used a simple average function as seen in Table 1. In order to see whether the number of subscribers in 2010 has increased or not I used the spreadsheet to determine if number of subscribers in 2010 is bigger than 2000. Chart 2 and 3 show that numbers are both increased and decreased. I used if function to find which countries passed 100 million subscription limit in 2010 and transferred that knowledge to pie Chart 4. Share of countries which passed 100 million limit in 2010 United States China Chart 4 3) Results and Conclusions As the years pass number of subscribers in developing countries increases. The same cannot be said in developed countries because their growth seems to either slow down or become negative. Number of subscribers in some countries began to decrease after 2000 probably because of mobile phones. Just like every technological device in our life phone will continue to become smaller and thus portable. Therefore we will reduce our reliance on fixed-telephone as the time goes on. 5/5
