Write your research question or thesis statement and identify the main ideas with underlining.
2. List synonyms, related terms, or subject terms for each main idea.
3. Create a preliminary search for the synonyms/terms you’ve listed above using a database likely to contain the
information you seek. List below your searches and where you search. Click here to see an example .
