The Board requires the Superintendent of Schools to implement a system for the regular evaluation of the
performance of principals
and vice-principals in order to:
meet the requirements of the School Act with respect to the evaluation of employees not covered by a Collective Agreement;
improve the quality of educational leadership provided by school principals and vice-principals and consequently improve the instructional program in district schools;
recognize and encourage effective school leadership;
assist the school principal and vice-principal in assessing his/her own performance;
assist the principal and vice-principal in setting and pursuing professional growth opportunities and specific
career objectives.

The popular School District No. 23 Hockey Canada Skills Academy will be offered for the sixth
year running at KLO based on a sufficient number of applicants.
Each class will receive approximately 50 hours of on-ice instruction from our highly qualified
Hockey Canada trained staff.
Program cost is $1100.00 to cover ice rental, on-ice instruction, off-ice training, transportation,
and supplies.
Registration starts on Wednesday, February 1st at 8:00am and closes Wednesday, February 8th
at 3:00pm.
