TIDBITS
The Boyne City congregation has been awarded a $1000 missionary
grant to support the Children’s Clothing Pantry that was envisioned by
youth in the congregation. Over 150 community children received
outfits before school began this fall, and more will be distributed each
month throughout the year. If your congregation can collect donated
clothing to support this ministry please contact Ruth Eaton
([email protected]) to arrange for delivery.
Detroit Hope congregation will receive $1000 in missionary grant
funding for a computer repair program. Ten students will be recruited
for a ten week training program at the congregation computer lab that
will teach how to repair and upgrade used computers. The refurbished
equipment can then be sold to support future training sessions. Students
completing the class will have skills to offer basic computer repair in the
community and learn about opportunities for technology related
careers. Potential donations of used computer equipment can be offered
to Julie Bock ([email protected]).
Grant funding for missionary and campus ministry efforts in 2012 is
still available! Applications are available at www.cofchristmi.org
Temple School Price Change-When Temple School classes are
offered through the Mission Center, the expectation if that course
material will be read prior to the beginning of class. Registration is
closed 2 weeks prior to the class and books mailed. Often people
call to register after the class is closed and the cost of priority
mailing is much higher.

Fall conference is just around the corner November 3&4, 2012. It
will be held at Saginaw Valley State University in Saginaw. In the
building called Curtis Hall, second floor. Theme “CALLED TO
DO”. Guest Ministry will be Presiding Bishop Steve Jones &
Apostle Stassi Cramm. The registration form is a fillable form that
you can save and email back or print off and mail back to the
Mission Center office. Bay City Congregation will be hosting the
open house (retirement party) for Gregg McDonald on Friday
evening November 2nd 2012 at 7:00 pm.
