BUILDING ART UP & OUT—Collage, Assemblage, Construction Instructor: Genie Kell, BFA, MA E-mail: [email protected] or phone 239-592-5028 2014-15 Supply List KINDLY NOTE: This class encourages artists to use a broad range of materials—some are not found in art supply stores. When you look for non-traditional materials at home, look in your collections of mementos, gift wrapping, shells, fabrics, old greeting cards…look in your photo albums and your crafts desk…look among things stored in the garage or in the pantry. This is an opportunity to risk and explore while using combinations of traditional and non-traditional art materials. By gathering a rich variety of objects and materials, you meet one of the most exciting challenges posed to artists: making art with high impact. Here are the specific supplies needed for the first 2 lessons. For Lessons 3, 4 & 5, you will be using mostly found objects. We will discuss these supplies in class.
