West. Fiesta Key Resort is the only campground that
hosts both a sunrise and sunset view over the water. In

area along its own beach area. The resort also has a
marina, general store and restaurant grill plus all the
ameni/es to make your stay truly enjoyable.

However, we will once again visit the island of Pigeon Key (www.pigeonkey.net) ,
which is the single most historically significant loca/on in the island chain. At this

Theater of the Sea (www.theateroPhesea.com) was the most enjoyed tour of the 2015 rally.
It offers dolphin, sea lion, and parrot shows, a boIomless boat ride, a lagoon-side beach, and
a guided marine life tour with tropical fish, sharks, sea turtles, s/ngrays, alligators, and
crocodiles. APer our personal tour, guests can browse in their unique giP shop, dine at
Nicky’s grill, and visit their private lagoon-side beach to snorkel, sunbathe, or just relax.
And of course, there is KEY WEST! The Old Town Trolley (www.oldtowntrolley.com)
will take us to see the beaches, Mallory Square, Hemmingway House, Harry S.
Truman’s LiIle White House, Margaritaville, and the Southernmost Point. From the

It was exciting to see that so many of you are as enthusiastic
as we are about the location and the tours we have planned
for you at Pueblo. It should be a glorious time in a beautiful
location. If those Aspen leaves will cooperate, we will have a
magnificent view of those mountains. We will have green chilies;
we will have new 2017 coaches on display; we will have our
award winning story teller, Bil Lepp; we will have delicious
meals; we will have IBMA vocalist of the year (The Claire Lynch
Band) to sing her sweet songs; we will have a Cowboy Church
worship service; we will have tea together; we will have games
and bingo! Heck, we will have a fantastic family gathering in
the Colorado Rockies for our Newmar friends!
HERE’S WHAT’S HAPPENING
Bob & Bonnie Krieger (12508-L), International Directors
Linda Feece, Klub Coordinator
Ready! Set! GO!!
And before we know it, the rally season is upon us – as we write
this, we are sitting at the Tri-State Rally in Savannah, Georgia with
about 26 other coaches and our new Region 5 Directors, Gary
& Wanda Smith. We have members from all over the southeast
in attendance and three new couples that have just joined –
Welcome!
Gary & Wanda have hit the ground running – they are doing
a great job with this rally! Even though they are new to the
Regional Director’s position, they have volunteered for years
at Internationals and are very familiar with the workings of the
Klub. In early September, the RD staff will gather in Pueblo to
begin set-up for our International Rally. At that time, we will
be joined by two additional newly appointed RD’s – Jerry &
Phyllis Rose and Del & Lela Nordstrom as we work together
to get ready for our International Rally in Pueblo. They also
have volunteered for years to assist with Klub functions so they,
too, will be ready to go! More about the International in this issue
and YIKES...it is indeed right around the corner!
Congratulations! The registrations for Pueblo were so fast
and furious that you managed to crash the system! Linda did
a tremendous job of straightening the registration data out. We
apologize for the inconvenience – we will certainly have to improve
that process to keep up with the growth of the Klub. At the end
of one month of registration, we have 350 units signed up. We
are hopeful that we will have around 450 units by rally time.
We have heard that the service department plans to send a
large contingent of service techs to work on our units - we
really appreciate their support!
Page 10
Our Klub continues to grow and Linda is hard pressed to keep
up with all of the new members that are coming into the office to
sign up for the Kountry Klub. We challenge all of you seasoned
members to make our newbies feel very welcomed. It is easy
to stay in your comfort zone with the old friends you have been
anxious to see since you last rallied together. However, there are
newbies right there for you to meet and greet and volunteer with.
I spoke with member Judy Faller (4627) a few days ago about
how her chapter worked hard to include the new members...we all
need to do just that. Make plans to include our new members
and communicate with the frequently. Goodness, I do believe
that we could do a seminar on just that topic!
On a personal note…did you know that you can actually suffer
withdrawal symptoms from your Newmar? Those anxious
looks at the travel channel on TV, the attempt to go to your coach
for your extra sugar or flour, the tool that you need at home that
is in the coach, the itching on the bottom of your feet because
you are not walking new trails. Oh my, did we ever have it bad!
Our coach was in Nappanee for a “face lift” and we missed
our travels. When we were reunited I discovered that you can
really HUG a big RV!! Thanks to the Newmar Techs for all of
your excellent work but we just had to get back on the road.
We have rallies to visit and folks to meet and music to enjoy and
new foods to try!
Be sure to check elsewhere in this issue for the announcement
of two special events – back by popular demand – the Rally
in the Florida Keys in December and a Hawaiian Cruise in
February 2017.
Our plans are to attend the Region 7 Rally in Mystic Seaport,
Connecticut, then head to the joint Region 2 and 9 Rally in British
Columbia, then on to Pueblo for about 3 weeks to work on the
International, then several site visits to larger State Fairgrounds
to see if they fit our needs for future Internationals. Hopefully, we
can make the Region 6 rally, also. Then it’s on to Nappanee for
about 6 weeks to work with Linda in putting the Rally Program
together and packing the trailer, then back to Pueblo. Busy
times…but fun times...
See you in Pueblo – safe travels.

2016 INTERNATIONAL Rally Information
PARKING/REGISTRATION
This year we will have several levels of parking available: 50
amp full hookup, 50 amp electric/water or 30 amp electric/
water. Both of the water/electric options will have one pump
out provided on your area’s designated day. Those registering
for the 50 amp full hookups or 50 amp electric/water will need
to arrive on Thursday and the pre-rally days are included in
your rally rate. If you register for the 30 amp electric/water
only, you have the option of coming in for the pre-rally days
of Thursday, Friday or Saturday. Rally events will begin this
year on Sunday. You can register on line www.newmarkountryklub.
com, mail, or fax your reservation to the office (574-773-5130).
Sorry but we cannot take any phone reservations for the
International Rally.
PARTS DEPARTMENT
The Parts Department will bring an inventory of the more popular
parts for you to purchase during the rally. Remember, if they do
not have the part at the rally you can order it for later delivery. Start
working on your list of parts needed.
HANDICAP & DIABETIC MEMBERS
Please make sure we are aware of your needs by indicating on your
reservation form. We are reserving 30 of the 50 amp full hookup
sites for handicap. After those are full we can add you to standby
for any cancellations for the handicap sites. For Handicap parking
we will need a copy of your mirror hang tag or a letter from your
doctor sent with your reservation.
BOONDOCKING
If you are scheduled to come in on Thursday, September 22 we will
have an area set up to boondock at the fairgrounds (dry camping/
no power) on Wednesday, September 21, for $10. If you boondock,
you must stay out of the rally area so we can complete set-up and
preparation.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE RALLY
Within this issue you will see an editorial listing areas we need help
with. Not only will you be helping your fellow Klub members but
it’s a great way to meet new friends. Call Linda in the Klub office,
she will be glad to sign you up. Don’t forget your Region Directors
and the Fulltimers’ Chapter are also looking for volunteers; please
contact them direct for information on their duties.
PLEASE CHECK YOUR RESERVATION FORM BEFORE
SENDING
We receive many forms that are not filled out completely, or with
incorrect credit card information or check amounts. Unfortunately
if we have to try to reach you to clear up a problem it will delay
your reservation being processed. Please be sure to provide your
email and cell number on your form.
RECEIVING MAIL AT THE RALLY
You can have mail sent to you during the rally. Please use this
address for any mail or packages: Colorado State Fairgrounds,
co/ Newmar Kountry Klub, Your name and Klub #, 1001 Beulah
Ave., Pueblo, CO 81004. Please have it marked “Hold for Pickup”.
Mailed should not be delivered before September 19th. Any items
received after the rally will be returned to sender.
EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION
This year’s early bird deadline is Friday, July 15, 2016. If your
reservation is received by that date you will be included in the
drawing to be held during Opening Ceremonies. So get those
forms in early!
DISPLAY YOUR KLUB NUMBERS
Please be sure your Klub number is displayed as you come in to
the rally so our parking crews can keep track of all our arrivals. If
we need to locate your unit in the event of an emergency the visible
numbers are the fastest way to find you. They are also necessary
for the service department or any vendors who are working on your
unit to locate you. Thanks for your cooperation.
SERVICE AT INTERNATIONAL RALLY
Within your reservation packet you will receive a Service Request
form in a yellow envelope. Be sure to fill out the form and return to
the service department by their deadline date. If you do not have
time to mail by that date, bring paperwork to the rally and you will
be processed as non-registered.
The service department once again wants to emphasize the
benefits and importance of preregistering. First, preregistering
often allows the techs to bring your needed parts to the rally;
second, preregistering allows priority service check-in beginning
the first morning; those who are not preregistered will report later
that morning to register for service work.
WEBSITE INFORMATION
Below are a few websites that will give you information on Pueblo,
Colorado and surrounding areas.

In order to service as many customers as possible during the rally,
the Service Department will prioritize their service in the following
sequence:
1. Emergency customers will be serviced first. Emergency
items are ONLY items that would prevent a coach from
leaving the rally, or render a coach uninhabitable.
2. Warranty customers will be serviced in order of date of
purchase, beginning with the most recent.
3. Out-of-warranty customers will also be serviced in order
of date of purchase, beginning with the most recent. Newmar will offer this service at a reduced service rate
plus reduced cost of parts. JUNE/JULY 2016

INTERNATIONAL MEMBERS-AT-LARGE
Ron & Wanda Llewellyn (16303-L)
Try to be a rainbow in
someone’s cloud.
Maya Angelo
On our way back to North Fort
Myers from the Super Rally in
the Florida Keys last December,
we were blessed to see several
rainbows along the way. This
isn’t unusual for Florida, but living
in the rolling hills of southeast
Ohio, we don’t get the view that
those who live with little obstructions to their views do. Seeing
a rainbow always brings joy, peace and solace to me. And if
Ms. Angelo is correct, being a rainbow to someone’s cloud is an
honorable endeavor.
The Newmar Kountry Klub is a rainbow for many. But since the
Klub is an inanimate object, it takes people to bring forth the
rewards of the rainbow. Thus, today we would like to recognize
those ‘rainbows’. It takes many droplets to make a rainbow and
it takes many people to make the Klub that place where we seek
joy, peace, solace, contentment and fun.
Normally we would start from the top and work down, but
remember, the pot of gold is at the end of the rainbow. So we’ll
start with members…that means you! Your involvement is vital to
all aspects of the Klub. Everything that is done is done for you!
And with so many new members, you are needed more than ever
to make that rainbow a joy for all. Attend, volunteer, host a rally
or special event, become an officer, share your expertise and
so much more. Whenever a hood goes up at a rally, you’ll find
most of the men gathered to ‘fix the problem’ There are those
very talented people who can share their hobbies and skills like
quilting, crafts, woodworking, cooking, electrical repairs, fulltime
tips, and more.
Moving up the rainbow we find the rally hosts. Some are quite
excited about planning and preparing for an enjoyable few days
at a new location for members. Yes, they have a talent, but there
are guidelines to help you learn how to be a successful host. And
in most cases, you get an opportunity to co-host with those with
experience before you give it a try. Some are extravagant and
some are simple. All are enjoyable!
Farther up the rainbow we find our chapter officers. These fine
droplets keep the ball rolling, or should we say ‘keep the light
shining’. Some come to the Klub with experience, but most do
not. But their efforts at keeping the chapter going are impressive.
But they can’t do it forever…they need help. If others take their
turns, the shining droplets can be theirs, too.
Next we have the State Directors. I liken them to the many colors
they exude. They have many responsibilities and their colors
glow with achievement. They keep abreast of Klub information
and updates, communicate with chapters, visit dealers and
make contact with new members and new owners. They are
very colorful people!
We’re almost at the top now and the view is glowing with sunshine
and raindrops. Our Region Directors carry a heavy load keeping
their states informed and enthused. They float around to all areas
of their region, offering support and direction. Sometimes, they
must also step down the rainbow a bit to fill in for those states that
Page 14
do not have a director, so their job can become stressful. But they
have the same goal in mind…joy, peace, contentment and fun!
We’re almost to the top now. Your Members-at-Large are there to
support everyone along the rainbow; asking questions, offering
solutions or trials, clarifying issues and encouraging all along
the way.
As we reach the pinnacle, we find our International Directors and
Klub Coordinator sharing the job of keeping the rainbow shining
for all! As they gaze back along the ridge of the rainbow, they
can see all the droplets that are needed to keep the rainbow
glowing. They work hard at planning, budgeting, coordinating,
communicating, prioritizing, recruiting, and even rescuing along
the bow. But the beauty they find in the efforts of all the droplets
brings them satisfaction and gratification for their efforts.
Now, you might be wondering where Newmar Corporation falls
into this great scene. Of course, without our Newmar units and
their great support, there wouldn’t be a Klub…or a rainbow. So
if you look at the sun, you’ll find all the different models, years
and successes of Newmar. Their leadership is paramount to my
rainbow vision. It takes the sun shining on the droplets to make
the rainbow. One is not there without the other.
As we look back at our rainbow vision, let us take a moment to be
thankful for all those who make up the rainbow. Often their efforts
are not recognized, but whenever you see that next rainbow, as
Paul Harvey said, “A now you know the rest of the story”!
If you want to move up the rainbow, join us at the 2016 International
Rally in September for some seminars to help you find your way.
Our winter in Florida was busy with many activities, hosting the
Florida Keys Rally, working at the Tampa Super Show, hosting
the Newmar Owners Luncheons in Fort Myers, lunches with
chapter members and planning our travels. May found us at the
Michigan, Ohio and Indiana Joint Rally in Howe, Indiana, and at
the Arkansas State Rally in Magnolia, Arkansas.
In June we are traveling to the Region 7 Rally in Mystic,
Connecticut, then to the Region 8 Rally in Niagara Falls and finally
at the Regions 2 and 9 Rally in Fort Steele, British Columbia. We’ll
update you on our travels in the next edition.
There must be clouds to initiate a rainbow. But the clouds give
way to the beauty and serenity of the rainbow as the sun breaks
through and shines on the droplets of rain. The next time you see
a rainbow, I hope you will remember my vision and be thankful.
God’s promise is our promise, too.

Pueblo Ponderings
Well, it been about one month since registration has
been open for the Pueblo International. At this point,
we have about 350 units signed up! Over 100 of those
sign-ups are first time attendees! - Welcome! At this
rate, we are hopeful to have about 400 to 450 units in
attendance.
Things did not go without some hiccups during
registration, though – we thank you for your
understanding and patience during the first several
hours of registration. The rate of sign-ups exceeded
our web server’s ability to keep up – some data was lost
and Linda had to intervene and make phone calls to get
things straightened out. We definitely need to improve
our registration software – the growth rate of the Klub has
definitely exceeded the server’s capability!
Tour sign-ups are going well, also. Several are sold
out and we are working with the tour companies to
arrange for more buses. We have started wait lists in
case we have cancellations or new buses are added. The
scenery in the mountains should be spectacular with the
Aspens turning golden.
We are pleased to announce that we have signed
the Claire Lynch Band for entertainment on Monday
evening - a little bit of Gospel, a little bit of Cajun, a
little bit of Country, and a little bit of Bluegrass.
She was the 2013 Female Vocalist of the Year for the
International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) and
a 2012 recipient of the United States Artists Walker
Fellowship. Her career has been decorated with many
other accolades including two GRAMMY nominations
and three International Bluegrass Music Association
Female Vocalist awards in 2010 and 1997. Recently,
at the 2014 IBMA Awards, she received two trophies:
“Song of the Year” for Dear Sister, a co-write with Louisa
Branscomb and title cut of her latest Compass Records
release; and “Recorded Event of the Year” for a guest
vocal appearance with Special Consensus on Country
Boy; A Bluegrass Tribute to John Denver (Wild Montana
Skies).
Dolly Parton credits Claire with “one of the sweetest, purest
and best lead voices in the music business today”. Claire’s
harmonies have graced the recordings of many stellar
musicians. Equally gifted as a songwriter, her songs have
been recorded by The Seldom Scene, Patty Loveless,
Kathy Mattea, Cherryholmes, The Whites and others.
The Claire Lynch Band
features like-minded
musicians blending tradition
and innovation - two-time
IBMA-winning bassistclawhammer banjo playerdancer-percussionist Mark
Schatz, soulful mandolinistguitarist Jarrod Walker, and
young string wizard Bryan McDowell, who at 18, won an
unprecedented triple win at the Winfield, Kansas National
Flatpicking Championship.
We also are having the West Virginia Storyteller Bil Lepp
returning for a Wednesday night performance and a
workshop seminar on storytelling.
Bil’s humorous, family
friendly tall-tales and stories
have earned the appreciation
of listeners of all ages and
from all walks of life. Though
a five time champion of
the West Virginia Liars’s
Contest, Lepp’s stories
often contain morsels of truth which present universal
themes in clever and witty ways. Audiences all across
the country, from grade schools to corporate execs to the
Comedy Central’s Hudson stage, have been delighted by
Bil’s mirthful tales and delightful insights into everyday life.
Bil’s books and audio collections have won awards
including the PEN Steven Kroll Award for Children’s
Book Writing, Parents’ Choice Gold awards, and
awards from the National Parenting Publications
Association.
We are still making arrangements for an opening act
for Saturday night and we will probably close out on
Thursday night with a magician/comedian.
We want to point out that we still have over 100 50
amp sites with water remaining. Those sites have one
free pump-out during the rally.
Also, in this issue, please note that our members are
offering to teach several craft classes – if you want
to lead a craft class, please let us know.
Bonnie & I hope to spend several weeks in Pueblo in the
June/July time frame to solicit local vendors and craft
instructors and seminar speakers – if you would like to
present a seminar of general interest to our members,
please let us know that, also.
On to Pueblo!

FULLTIMERS CHAPTER
Evan and Debbie Hughes (19771)
We blink and it is May. We
are already five months into
2016 and what a wonderful
year it is shaping up to be.
Thanks to the efforts of all
of the Fulltimers Chapter
members our chapter is
growing. We wish to thank
each and every one of you
who have talked up the Kountry Klub and the Fulltimers
Chapter.
We opened registration for our Annual Rally and Business
meeting and talked it up so much that we have had to close
registration and create a waiting list, our campground is
full, with 34 rigs in attendance. What a wonderful problem
for us as a chapter. Our rally will be held in Cañon City,
Colorado, where we will visit the Royal Gorge. After the
rally we plan to caravan to the International.
Our chapter members are scattered across the continent
and Bermuda, yes you read that correctly. Some have
been following the sun, some are chasing rallies across
the country and enjoying sitting still, and many are plotting
their way to Colorado.
As Fulltimers, living in our RV’s, we tend to look at our
‘homes’ a bit differently than perhaps someone who
only travels a few months out of the year. But there are
somethings we ALL need to think about.
1) When was the last time you opened your emergency
escape exits?
2) Have you changed the batteries in your smoke detectors
and carbon monoxide detectors?
What is stopping you? Why are you waiting? Your life may
depend on it.
Happy Travels to all,
Evan and Debbie Hughes (19771)

REGION 1 // AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, UT
Region Directors :: Marty & Marion Marcum (17221)
Our Region 1 Rally in Bakersfield
was a great success. In all 29
rigs showed up at Bakersfield’s
River Run RV Park. We are sure
that everyone had the same
thoughts we had the first time
we stayed at the Park – “this
can’t possibly be the right way to
the park”. Turning off Rosedale
Highway you travel 2 blocks
through an industrial area and you are just sure you made a wrong
turn. After 2 blocks you arrive at an oasis along the very dry Kern
River. The highlight of the rally came on the last night when 55 of
us attended a performance of “The Secret of Molly McShamrock”
at the Bakersfield Gaslight Melodrama where we all booed the
villain and sighed for the beautiful heroine. What made this night
so fun was the cast selected Evan Hughes (Fulltimer’s President)
to play the part of Martin O’Malley. No folks, this was not a set
up on our part and was totally random. Evan didn’t have to leave
his seat for his part until the very end (he knew this had to be
coming) when he had to go onstage for a few minutes.
Next we were off 150 miles further west to the California coast to
Buellton (home of Anderson’s Pea Soup) for the California 49er’s
Chapter Rally. In all there were 26 rigs attending. We were all
treated in typical Newmar fashion to an abundance of great food
and warm fellowship.
After the two California rallies we head east to New Mexico for the
two May rallies. First to Roswell, the Alien Capital of the World for
the New Mexico State Rally. Another awesome rally hosted by
Ted and Kathy Miller. A few days later we were in Albuquerque
attending the New Mexico Chili Peppers rally at the American RV
Park hosted by Joe & Mary Ann Daniels.
This year we have the summer “free” so we are spending the
summer months in the Paguitch, Utah riding the Paiute Trail on
our RZR. If you are in the area come by and stay a few days and
we’ll take you out into the Utah wilderness where you will see
some amazing scenery.
ARIZONA
Ruth Ann & I first saw Arizona together in the early ‘90s and then
not again until 2005 when we set Tucson as our destination the
first year we tried snowbirding. Since then we have returned
to see the mountains and the saguaros every year but one.
We traveled from Michigan each fall to Tucson in our Newmar
coaches. The more we see of Arizona the more we realize how
much more there is for us yet to see. The state has a climate
that varies a great deal from the low to medium altitude like Yuma
and Quartzsite to the high altitudes in northern areas like Flagstaff
and the Grand Canyon. Temperatures can vary many degrees
from south to north and from 2000 feet to 7000 feet of altitude.
We are hosting our State Rally in October from the 17-21st in
Camp Verde about 90 miles north of Phoenix. The weather
should still be good and the fall colors should be showing
themselves. Sedona and Cottonwood offer many activities with
beautiful scenery everywhere. We hope that we get a good
turnout of rigs coming from the International in Pueblo,
Colorado just a little over two weeks before our rally and
only a few days after the Nevada State Rally in Moab, Utah.
We are thinking of a No Host ‘rally’ in the Grand Canyon National
Park the weekend before our rally since it is right on the way from
Moab to Camp Verde. Watch the calendar.
Ted and Ruth Ann Hindes (19361)
Arizona State Directors
ARIZONA SUN CATCHERS
Greetings from the Arizona Sun Catchers. First of all, we want to
take this opportunity to thank all of our members, now 60 strong,
for their consideration and participation in our chapter. We value
and appreciate each and every one of you.
As the summer heat begins, the bulk of our members are heading
off to cooler venues and participating in applicable Newmar
chapter rallies along the way. Examples of rallies we sure enjoyed
were the April Region 1 Rally in Bakersfield and the California
49ers Rally in Buellton, home of the split pea soup. Others are
on the agenda for the summer including some time in Canada.
If any of you are planning trips to the Provinces, we suggest
that you book your reservations as soon as possible as they are
known to fill up fast.
Planning has begun on our 2017 Rally and Benson, Arizona
has been selected as the location with the dates being April
6-10. Please pencil in these dates and we will provide more
details in our next Konnection article.
The International Rally will begin on Sunday, September 25th,
one day earlier than usual to accommodate the Albuquerque
Balloon Fiesta. We are the host couple again this year for the
Balloon Fiesta Newmar Special Event and have enlisted Ron &
Carmen to be our co-host. We managed to secure 50 sites for
2016 and we expected then to fill fairly quickly. No one was
prepared for just how quickly they filled. In less than three hours
all were booked and a wait list was started. Amazing!
As always, please consult the Kountry Klub calendar for coming
events and have happy and safe Memorial Day.
With the International taking place in Region 1 we are responsible
for Parking and Registration and will be working with, and
training, folks from Region 3 as they will be the host region for
the 2017 International. We can be reached at 562-762-8853 or

CALIFORNIA GOLDEN BEARS
Greetings. Spring has officially arrived in Northern California.
March brought enough rain and snow to help the drought.
We just returned from the Region 1 Rally in Bakersfield, California.
Marty & Marion did another great job. The RV Park, food and
tours were all wonderful. The best part was seeing and visiting
with friends and meeting several new Kountry Klub members.
We didn’t go to the 49ers rally that followed Region 1 Rally. We
wanted to be home for the birth of our first great grandson. Jayce
was born April 27th weighing in at 9 pounds 1½ ounces. Our
whole family was there to meet him when he was just 3 hours
old! What a great family experience.
Five couples met in Chico, California to finish planning the
California State/ Bears Rally in Chico. September 11-15.
There is plenty of time to attend this rally and get to Pueblo,
Colorado to attend the International Rally. We would like to
invite anyone passing through to join us at this rally. Chico is
another area of Northern California to explore. We found more
things to do than time to do them.

CALIFORNIA GOLDEN AIRES
We attended two rallies in April. The first was the Region 1 Rally
at the Bakersfield River Run RV Park in Bakersfield, California
hosted by Marty & Marion Marcum. This was our first regional
rally, and we just loved it. Thank you, Marty & Marion.
The second rally we attended was hosted by Wayne & Charlotte
Thomas of the California 49’ers at Flying Flags RV Park in Buellton,
California and we had a wonderful time. A big thanks to Wayne
& Charlotte. We enjoyed spending time with many old friends
and making new friends at both rallies.
Please mark your calendars and join us for the California
Golden Aires Rally at the beautiful Indian Waters RV Park in
Indio, California this coming January 8_11, 2017.

CALIFORNIA 49ERS
Right now we are in the middle of our rally at Flying Flags RV
Resort in Buellton. We are having a great time getting back
together with old and new friends. This rally we had a little different
format, since some of the people were here just a few years ago
and others have not been here at all. Instead of planning tours
and such, we collected information about all of the things that
you can do within an hour’s drive of the RV Park, and then gave
everyone the days to go do and see what they wanted. It has
turned out very well for this situation. We hear stories of trips in
all directions and seeing all different places. We had the local
visitor’s bureau come in and talk to the group about local sights on
the first night. And we had Marty Marcum give us a presentation
about Geocaching, now that was interesting.
Don’t forget to sign up for the Golden Bears Rally in Chico,
California in September or the Golden Aires rally in Indio,
California in January.

COLORADO KRUISIN AIRES
Hello from Colorado! Seems like the snow will never stop up in
the mountains. During April most of our ski areas have received
more than 4’ of snow. Nice, but all of the resorts closed the first
weekend of the month.
September 17 – 19, 2016
We are putting the final touches on our June 2-6 Rally,
which will be held at the Glenwood Canyon RV Resort near
Glenwood Springs, CO. This area offers a lot of activities, such
as biking, fishing, rafting, golf, hiking and sightseeing. We are

What a great time of the year! We have already attended several
rallies and our last two have been wonderful. It continues to
be a very pleasant surprise at the number of couples with First
Time Rally Attendee ribbons. We want each of them to feel
comfortable and welcome in the Kountry Klub. Our last two
rallies were the California 49ers Chapter and the New Mexico
Chili Pepper Chapter rallies. They were hosted by Wayne &

CALIFORNIA STATE/
GOLDEN BEARS RALLY
We have been given permission to hold the 2016 Nevada
State Rally in Moab, Utah. It will be for four nights starting
Sunday, October 9th to Thursday morning, October 13th.
The rally fee is $90 and does not include the RV site. The rally
location is: the Spanish Trails RV Park just south of Moab on
Highway 191. For reservations call the park direct: 1-800-7872751, for Good Sam Club members they offer a 10% discount.
They are a Passport America member, but that discount isn’t
available during the rally. Make your reservations as soon as
possible, park personnel told me that with school back in session
and the day time temperature cooler, they get very busy.
September 11 to 15, 2016
We do know many Klub members have four wheel drive vehicles
and they will be put to good use, but you do not need a four
wheel drive vehicle to see the beauty of the area. There is an
outing planned to tour a 5,000 sq. foot home carved out of a
rock and learn about its history. The last evening of the rally we
have arranged a Dutch oven dinner and jet boat ride. Dinner will
end just as the sun sets. Then it is time for the river cruise to
enjoy the Colorado River canyon walls lit up with a 40,000 watt
light from our boat. We have heard from people that have taken
the boat trip that it is spectacular. This dinner and boat trip are
optional due to the cost of $64.17 per person. Contact us or
check the Klub calendar for more information. Just over a week
from the end of our International Rally and a few days after
the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta, the Nevada State Rally will
be a good way to spend more time with your Newmar Family.

NEW MEXICO
Now we can look back and have a good memory of the New
Mexico State Rally touring the New Mexico Military Institute in
Roswell. A lot of famous military officers have graduated from
there. My son reminded me that Roger Staubach graduated from
there and then went on to the Naval Academy. My son wouldn’t
tell me why he became famous after leaving the military. Am I
missing something somewhere? Oh well, we learned a lot about
UFO’s at the UFO Museum but the UFO that landed close to
Roswell in 1947 is still a mystery.
Now we are looking forward in traveling to Pueblo, Colorado and
taking in the 2016 Newmar International Rally. There are a lot of
interesting points of interest in that area.

REGION 2 // AK, ID, MT, OR, WA, WY
Region Directors :: Frank & Janice Hasman (17704)
Well here we are at the beginning
of this 2016 rally season in the
Northwest. We are sure that
as you read this we are having
a great time at the combined
Region 2 and 9 Joint Rally in
Ft. Steele, British Columbia and
enjoying visiting with many of our
Newmar friends. The Northwest
has exciting rallies scheduled
rest of this summer – check the
“Calendar of Events” in this edition of the Konnection or on the
NKK website and make sure you register before the closing
deadlines.
We are looking forward to a great International Rally on our
western side of the Mississippi River and hope we show up in
great numbers to show our appreciation for a shorter driving
distance. If you have not yet registered, do so ASAP as this
rally is sure to fill up. Please also consider volunteering to help
Region 2 fulfill its Food Service responsibilities. Volunteering
is fun, not too much work, and it’s a great way to meet other
NKK members. Remember this Klub is successful because
of volunteers! See you in Pueblo Colorado, or sooner at another
Newmar rally.
We can be reached at [email protected] or 208-484-5443.

IDAHO
If you have not already signed up for our Idaho rally in Cascade
on July 28-31, then you still have time to do so, but only till
June 30. We have a great rally planned.
Three nights with full hook ups, three breakfasts, three dinners,
a three hour train ride along the Payette River, a wood carving
show and games. All this for only $300 for a couple.
Cascade is 80 miles north of Boise. It is surrounded by
mountains. Lake Cascade is 22 miles long and 5 miles wide.
It is a small town with a few shopping stores. Our RV Park is
right on the Payette River with a paved greenbelt that takes you
through a very nice water park and visitor center. There is lot’s
to do around Cascade such as fishing, go for a ride, hiking, or
just relaxing.
To make your reservation, you need to contact Terry Garrett at
[email protected] or phone 208-859-5876, so that we can
reserve your campsite.
See you there!

OREGON
Here it is the middle of the year already. Time seems to be flying
by faster and faster as each year passes. The rally season is in
full swing now meaning that Marie & I are back in the coach again
enjoying the travel time and scenery as we head up to Canada for
the Region 2 & 9 combined rally. We were in Ft. Steele a number
of years ago when we attended one of the Stampede events
sponsored by Newmar. A very pretty place and nice people to
boot.
The Washington State Rally is July 11-14 in Clarkston,
Washington on the mighty Columbia River. The area of
Lewiston, Idaho and Clarkston Washington was named after a
couple of fellas and their Indian friend who traveled out this way
a number of years back. You might remember reading about
them in your school days. Then we will be heading down to
the Idaho Rally held this year again in the Cascade, Idaho
area. Beautiful mountains and a gorgeous lake nearby with lots
of scenery and great local places to visit. August brings us to
the Evergreen Aires rally in the wonderful Wenatchee Apple
country. And then we are off to Florence, Oregon where we will
be heading up our own Oregon State Rally. Quite a summer
schedule of fun and visiting with old friends as well as making
new friends along the way. Finally we will be heading east to Colorado and the
International in Pueblo, Colorado, should be a great time of
year in Colorado, cooler in the arid south of the state, and
sure to have some great places to see as well as their pepper
festival is during that time of year.
If you haven’t filled your travel planner full for the year by now
give some thought to attending one of the many Newmar
rallies throughout the country. I’m sure you will have a great
time, learn some stuff you didn’t know, eat great food and meet
some of the nicest folks. Safe travels where ever your road may take you.

WASHINGTON
Greetings from Washington! We are back from Arizona and are
now getting ready for the Washington State Rally in Clarkston,
Washington (July 11-14) and the Evergreen Aires Chapter Rally
in Monitor, Washington (August 7-10).
After a fairly quiet winter, due to Cheryl having foot surgery, we
are looking forward to the rallies in the northwest this summer
so she can “rock & roll”! We hope you can make one or more of
these rallies and join us in the fun!
For those of you heading to Colorado to the International Rally
this fall, we hope you have a great trip. We are excited to work
this rally, meet new friends and get reacquainted with old.
Have a safe travel season and we will see you down the road,
Lord willing!

Campground in Monitor, Washington. This promises to be
the ultimate rest and relaxation rally of the year. There are no
scheduled activities except for the dinner bell. However, optional
activities will abound. The main daily event will be a gathering
around the campfire, renewing old friendships, sharing stories and
roasting marshmallows over an open fire pit. Be sure to bring a
marshmallow thing-a-ma-jig.
Optional Activities: Leavenworth Summer Theater – “Sound of
Music”, Nutcracker Museum, bird watching at Waterfront Park,
scenic drive up Icicle Gorge, specially gift shops in Cashmere
and Leavenworth, great German restaurants, lunch at Munchen
Haus, dinner at Mozarts, dessert at Panz Creperie and the famous
Aplets and Cotlets Candy Kitchen.
REGION 2
RALLY
Last but not least are 700 miles of forest service hiking trails. Bring
hiking shoes and a small day pack. Top all this off with a camera
to bring home some great memories for your kids and grandkids.
OK, I don’t know what more I can say about this rally except
that I hope you will come and join us. Please check the rally
ad in this publication for sign up details and register via the NKK

Rally Poker
Run
Haven’t participated in a Poker
Run before you say? That is
no problem. It is simple and is a lot of fun. Anyone who
wants to participate will pay $5.00 per person to play and
will have a chance to win one of 10 cash prizes. In addition,
a portion of all money collected will be donated to a local
charity.
There will be 5 locations every participant will need to visit
in order to receive a sealed envelope containing one playing
card. The plan is to have all the locations on the fairgrounds
or close by so participants won’t have to travel too far to
get their cards. Participants will need to wear their Newmar
name badges in order to receive their cards. After visiting
each location and gathering all 5 cards you will simply
take your cards back to where you signed up, have your
envelopes opened and your poker hand established. Best
hands win. What could be easier than that?
Signups will take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday,
September 22, 23, & 24 from 9 am to 2 pm in the registration
area and you will need to turn in your 5 unopened envelopes
prior to 2 pm on Tuesday, September 27.

Hill Climb. Included in the collection is the first motorized vehicle to climb the mountain and digitized video dating back
to the first running in 1916 that tells the story of the race and the Pikes Peak Highway. The Pikes Peak International Hill

Pueblo’s history is rich and diverse, but the most epic saga of the cities past is the story of the Colorado Fuel and Iron
Company, (CF&I) and the arrival of European Immigrants eager to live and work in America. Fifty-five trains arrived and
departed from the Union Depot every day and Pueblo had sixteen foreign language newspapers. Twenty-four hour shifts
at the steel mill, for over one hundred years, created a vast empire of steel making, mining, and railroads. From the poorest
to the richest, Pueblo has a million stories. We will arrive at the Steelworks Center. Once owned by John Rockefeller, this
museum
and massive
archival
center exists in the original building. Depart for Rosemount Museum. We will enjoy lunch

REGION 3 // AR, KS, LA, MO, OK, TX
Region Directors :: Larry & Katie Harrington
(17407-L)
The time for rallies is finally here.
We have waited all winter through
several different kinds of weather
and now we are ready to roll.
Our winter was rather uneventful
but busy. We attended the owner’s
group luncheon in southern Texas
and two in Florida while we were
there for the Tampa Super show.
As always we enjoyed seeing so
many folks and sharing a great meal with them.
We will have had our Texas State Rally in Waco, Texas May 12-15
by the time this is read. This is the first State Rally planned by
Jim & Jane Thomas and it looks like a great time. The following
weekend of May 19-22 we will have had the Arkansas rally in
Magnolia, Arkansas hosted by Dennis & Diane Wood. They always
have a fun rally, we’re sure this one will be too.
After a couple of weeks at home we will head out for Hutchinson,
Kansas for our Region 3, Oklahoma and Kansas Combined
Rally from June 22-26. With the assistance of Larry & Sherry
DeWitt and Larry & Patsy Wood we will have a great time.
For the Region 3 Rally we have several fun and exciting events
scheduled beginning with a hobo supper on the first night. We will
furnish the meal with a surprise. We will visit the local attractions,
eat some great meals, see some of our friends and hopefully meet
new members and visitors. Again, the dates for this rally are June
22-26. We still have plenty of room for more attendees and
hope you are one of them.
The Missouri Rally is scheduled for July 13-17 at Union,
Missouri. As always our hosts, Harold & Joyce Fiebelman have
some fun things for us to do and see.
We will leave the 17th and head for St. Charles, Missouri and
meet with all the folks going on the Lewis and Clark Caravan. We
have many special plans for tours, campgrounds, get togethers,
scenery and history. We either know or have met several of the
couples going with us and feel this will be six weeks of fun filled
times. The caravan ends in Warrenton, Oregon with plenty of time
to get back to Pueblo, Colorado for this year’s International Rally.
If you are going to be at any of the rallies mentioned above we will
be happy to see you. If for some reason you cannot make these
rallies, we look forward to seeing you somewhere along the way.
Please have a safe and fun filled summer. May God bless you
in many ways.
ARKANSAS
Well, well, as this is written we believe the final touches have been
applied to the 2016 Arkansas State Newmar Kountry Klub Rally
held May 19-22. We have twelve rigs signed up, including special
guests new NKK Directors-At-Large, Ron & Wanda Llewellyn,
JUNE/JULY 2016
and Region 3 Directors, Larry & Katie Harrington. Thanks to
everyone for coming!
Rally festivities included food, fun, fellowship, card games,
attending the 28th annual Magnolia Blossom Festival & the 27th
annual World Championship Steak Cook Off. Thanks to our lead
chefs Jim Helms and Darrell Horsey and to all the other helpers,
you know who you are.
As we conclude a brief look back at the memories, our 2016
plans seek their final tweaks. Here’s to a great year of travel and
adventure. We are especially looking forward to the International
Rally in Pueblo, Colorado. It will be fun.
When all the summer fun is done, we hope you will join us at
the Razorback Kountry Klub Rally, planned for Blue Sky RV
Park, Mountain View, AR, October 12-16, for more fun, food,
fellowship, games and wonderful Ozark Mountain Folk Music
played on the courthouse square. Contact Ruth Ann Hairston
at 870-703-0175.
Have a great summer traveling in your Newmar RV. Hope we see
you in Mountain View, if not before.
Travel Safe,
Diane and Dennis Wood (18727)

KANSAS
It is the last week of April and here in Kansas we have just, two
weeks ago, had our first 2016 rally. On April 14-17, associate
member Joyce Brown hosted a Kansas Kountry Sunflower rally
at the Salina, Kansas KOA. Three couples brought our rigs, and
three drove in for the activities on Saturday. One of the highlights
of the rally was getting to meet Joyce’s new service dog, Peru. We
also all took a short drive to Mentor, Kansas to see an interesting
car collection owned by Rex Russell. Thank you Joyce for hosting
the rally.
Sunflower Chapter President and Secretary/Treasurer Steve &
Blanche Smith, over the winter, decided to move to Texas and
put their rig up for sale. Thank you two for your friendship and
service to the Klub. At the Sunflower chapter business meeting
on April 16, Mike Girton stepped up to the President position, Jim
Sturgeon volunteered to be Vice-President, and Crystal French
along with Kip's help volunteered to take the Secretary/Treasurer
job. Thank you so much to these members for volunteering.
Jim & Vickie Sturgeon will have hosted a drive-in on May 14, at
the Saddle Rock Café in Council Grove, Kansas. Some chapter
members are also planning to bring their rigs and camp at
Council Grove Lake. I will give an update on this activity in the
next Konnection.
June 22-26, Sherry & I along with Region 3 Directors, Larry & Katie
Harrington, and Oklahoma State Directors, Larry & Patsy Wood,
will host a Combination Region 3, Kansas State, and Oklahoma
State Rally. You still have time to register for this rally, see the ad
in this Konnection for more details.
We look forward to seeing you at a rally.

MISSOURI
Spring has definitely sprung in Missouri. April showers arrived
and lawns are again needing to be mowed, and it is time for rally
season to begin.
Missouri rally season is now in full swing with the Mid-Mo
Wanderlusts holding a rally in Morgan City, Louisiana following
the Cajun Rally as we write this article. However, the weather
is not cooperating with them as it is raining there with storm
warnings. Hopefully, all will be safe. In June the rally schedule
will be filled with the Region 3 Rally, June 22-26, Kansas State
Fairgrounds, Hutchinson, Kansas.
The Missouri State Rally will be held July 13-17 at the Pin Oak
Creek Campground in Villa Ridge, Missouri. Arrangements
are all made, and we hope to have a good turnout. If you are
planning to take the Lewis & Clark Caravan in July, we would
love for you to join us at the rally as the Caravan begins as the
rally ends. If you are interested in attending, please feel free to
contact us at 573-465-3621 or 0536.
Joyce would like to thank everyone for all the cards, calls, visits,
and prayers during her knee surgery and recovery. She is doing
quite well, and working hard to be ready for the State Rally.
We hope all the snowbirds made it home safely and ready to
enjoy the rally season. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

TEXAS
The April 2016 Kountry Klub Lone Star South (KLSS) Rally was
held at the Pioneer RV Park and Resort, Port Aransas, TX. It was
exciting to see five new Kountry Klub members join us at rally.
There is strong evidence the KLSS membership is growing after
several years of decreasing membership.
The 2016 Texas State Newmar Kountry Klub Rally was held
May 12-15 at the I-35 RV Park and Resort, Elm Mott, Texas,
which is just a few miles north of Waco. This year we wanted to
schedule the State Rally in a central location. We had a really fun
rally scheduled with a dinner at a Mystery Theater in which the
audience will be part of a murder aboard a Cruise Ship. There will
also be a dinner at the Improv (comedy). Of course Waco is the
home of Magnolia Gardens and Baylor University. So we have
arranged for tours of Magnolia and Baylor’s new McLane Football
Stadium. Magnolia is the store featured in Chip and Joann’s HGTV
“Fixer Upper” TV show. We have also invited a good number of
former KLSS members who have moved down to smaller rigs.
There is a growing number of Newmar owners in Texas as a
result of the robust sales of Newmar’s great line-up of Motor
Homes. We invite everyone to join us at a rally. The next KLSS
Rally will be Perrin, Texas, October 20-23, at the Mitchell RV
Resort. Perrin is located in north Texas west of Ft. Worth. The
November KLSS Rally will be on the 17th-20th at the Miller
Creek RV Park, right on US 281 in Johnson City, TX.
See you all at the Newmar International in Pueblo, Colorado.

REGION 5 // AL, FL, GA, MS, NC, SC, TN, VA
Region Directors :: Gary & Wanda Smith (16540-L)
Wanda & I want to first say
thanks to everyone that
has expressed kind words
and congratulations on our
appointment as Region 5
Directors. Following the
likes of Jim & Annabell Repp,
Wally & Sharon Sisk, and
Bob & Bonnie Krieger we
feel humbled and honored
to serve in this capacity.
Our prayer is that we can
serve Region 5 with the same wisdom and smile that of our
predecessors.
We started out by attending the Florida State Rally hosted by Kent
& Nancy Miller. What a busy schedule they planned. We thank
all of those who had a part in making this rally a great success.
Leaving the rally we traveled to Grand Lake RV & Golf Resort
in Citra, Florida. Kent & Nancy joined us there to start putting
the Region 5 Rally, October 24-29, together. We found a great
rally hall and activities to keep us busy. Please continue to watch
for updates on this rally. You can go to www.newmarkountryklub.
com calendar of events for registration.
April 26-28, we enjoyed a fantastic Carolinas State Rally hosted
by Phillip Melvin & Becky Garner. It was our first time staying in
the Charlotte, North Carolina area. We had a great time renewing
friendships and making new ones.
Wow, the first day registration response to the 31st International
Rally in Pueblo, Colorado was enormous. It is great to see such
enthusiasm for the rally. I would love to see the NKK get back
to the days of 800 coaches in attendance as we experienced in
years past.
Region 5 will have many opportunities to volunteer while at the
rally. Be ready to do so when you come to registration in Pueblo.
Thanks in advance for your service. Let’s prepare to have fun.
We can be reached at [email protected]

FLORIDA
Most of our Florida NKK members are now in the north at their
northern homes or busy seeing North America in their Newmar
coaches. Isn’t it great that we can go north in the summer to
escape the heat and can come south in the winter to enjoy the
warm weather of Florida.
Mid-April saw 28 coaches
gathered at Wekiva Falls
RV Resort near Sorrento,
Florida for the State Rally.
We enjoyed a day in Winter
Park where we toured the
JUNE/JULY 2016
Polasek Museum, took a boat ride on the chain of lakes where
many of the rich and famous live. We then toured the Morse
Gallery home of one of the most extensive Tiffany collections.
Our caterer Lucy made sure that this was a rally that saw most
of us gain more weight than usual. After a full day of seminars on
Friday we were treated to a Hawaiian Luau which was followed
by dancing to music provided by a DJ. Saturday evening we
enjoyed demonstration about PowWow singing and drumming
and a discussion about Native American dance styles.
We again want to mention the fact that we have a need for a
3rd chapter in in the central Florida region. To do this we need
six coaches with three people willing to serve as officers. If
any of you would like to be a part of this effort please contact
us. This could consist of all new NKK members or a mix of old
and new. We believe this will help eliminate the problem that the
two present chapters are having with their rally spaces being filled
before everyone that wants to attend gets signed up.
We want to welcome Gary & Wanda Smith as they start their
journey as Region 5 Directors. We spent two days with them
after the Florida State rally at Grand Lake RV and Golf Resort
near Citra, Florida planning the Region 5 Rally that will be held
October 24-29.

FLORIDA MANATEES
Our March 2016 rally was in beautiful St. Augustine, Florida at
Stagecoach RV Park. Sixteen coaches were in attendance and
we stayed busy. After a private tour of the city by the Old Town
Trolley, we got on and off as we desired during the day at 23
stops for the duration of the rally. The stops included (but were
not limited to) the Old Jail, the Oldest Store, the Fountain of
Youth, Flagler College, several old and beautiful churches and the
Lightner Museum. St. George Street, a historic walking mall, is
always a favorite and so tempting with its unusual gift shops and
restaurants. There were also tours of a winery and a brewery. St.
Augustine offers lots to do regardless of interests and the on and
off trolley gives everyone a chance to do as they wish.
By the time this is published, Florida will have had the Florida
State Rally at Wekiva Falls in Sorrento, Florida. Looking at the
schedule of events, it promises to be a fun-filled time.
The Manatees want to extend a warm welcome to Gary &
Wanda Smith as our new Region 5 Directors. We also want
to thank Jim & Annabell Repp for their service as prior Region
5 Directors. We are missing them as they start their retirement
from the NKK, but they leave with our very best wishes.
Two Manatee rallies are scheduled for the fall. You can see the
rally schedules and register for rallies at www.newmarkountryklub.

FLORIDA PELICANS
Wow, another outstanding season for the Florida Pelicans is
coming to a close. As summer is approaching many of our flock
are heading north to different directions. Our Farewell Rally,
which was hosted by Emily & Roger Mercier at the Cypress
Woods RV Resort was attended by 12 couples, was a lot of fun.
Several of us Pelicans caravanned from there to the Wekiva Falls
RV Resort to participate in the Florida State Rally hosted by Kent
& Nancy Miller and Steve &Karen Terry. This rally was wonderful
and included many activities and of course great food.
I would like to thank all the officers and members of the Florida
Pelicans who volunteered, gave time and effort to keep us busy
and having fun.
We look forward seeing everybody to our Welcome Back
Rally in early November as our Southward migration
completes. More information on this and other rallies will be
posted on the NKK calendar. The Florida Pelicans would like
to welcome our new members: Allen and Gerry Smith.
We bid good bye and safe travels to our fellow Pelicans and
NKK friends as we take off toward other destinations.
Safe travels,
Bea Hamor (18907)
President
FLORIDA SANDPIPERS
The rally was held at Atmore, Alabama. Even though it rained for
a couple of days and there was a strong wind until Sunday we
still had a great time visiting, eating, playing games and touring
the area. We were lucky that the manager of the RV Park was
a Porch Creek Indian and on the Gaming board. He offered to
give us a personal tour and we jumped on the chance to learn
about the Porch Creek Indians and the area. He provided a mini
buss and gave us a tour of the Indian property, manufacturing
plant and the Casino Hotel. During the tour we were given the
history of the Porch Creek Indians and how they give back to their
people. We liked the area and want to go back sometime during
the summer (hopefully during our dark months).

FLORIDA SEA TURTLES
Greetings from the Florida Sea Turtles! We have finished our rally
schedule for the season with a number of our members joining
together at the Florida State Rally held at Wekiva Falls RV Resort,
located in Sorrento, Florida
Many of our members will be traveling throughout the United
States this summer, enjoying the beauty of our wonderful country.
One of our couples will even be working for part of the summer
at a fish hatchery in Oregon.
In September fifteen Sea Turtle coaches will be caravanning into
Pueblo, Colorado for the Newmar International Rally, and as is
the case each year, we look forward to renewing our adventures
and comparing notes about the summer travels.
Page 38
At the end of the International Rally we have a number of coaches
that will be travelling to Albuquerque, New Mexico for the balloon
festival before heading back home to Florida.
Our fall rally schedule includes a November event to be held in
Cocoa, Florida and a December rally in Sebastian, Florida. Look
for more information on those rallies in upcoming issues of the
Konnection. We hope that you will consider joining us for one of
these events.
Looking forward to seeing you along the way…

MID SOUTH TRI-STATE (GA–AL–MS)
What a busy time of year.
God’s beauty surrounds
us. The Mid-South TriState rally in Savannah
was a great success.
Tw e n t y o n e c o a c h e s
were in attendance. The
River Boat Cruise was
a delight. Dancing for
some, fellowship and
good food was experienced by all. All were able to see Historic
Savannah River Street and the enormous size of the Georgia Ports
as we cruised the river. What an education at the Mighty Eighth
Museum. The Eighth Airforce was started in Savannah. They
certainly played a pivotal role during WWII. We should always
remember the sacrifices made by so many during that time of
history for our country.
Preparations are being made for the NKK International in
Pueblo, Colorado in September. Make your reservations for
the rally and also see the “Calendar of Events” for the prerally hosted by the Peach State Krackers September 16-19
in Colorado Springs.
This could be my last article as the Mid-South Tri-State
Director. Please give the same support to the ones selected
to fill this position. All of you have been so supportive of
Wanda and me. Thanks for everything. We love you all.

GEORGIA PEACH STATE KRACKERS
We want to welcome our new Region 5 Directors, Gary & Wanda
Smith, and pray that God will bless them as they work for the
NKK. We look forward to working with them on upcoming rallies
and events.
Our Mid-South Tri-State Rally in Savannah, Georgia on May
11-15 was a huge success! The tours, entertainment and food
were excellent. Gary & Wanda Smith and Bill & Sandy Hoskins
did a fantastic job hosting the rally. We had a great time meeting
new members and fellowshipping with old friends.
We are in the planning stage for a summer rally or luncheon
for the Peach State Krackers sometime in August. We are
excited about our International Rally in Pueblo, Colorado. After

CAROLINA’S (NC – SC)
Well, we thought spring was on it’s way, but it seems slow in
coming this year. We had our first “Carolinas NC/SC” State
Rally as new Directors at the end of April. The Rally was held
at Charlotte Motor Speedway in Concord, North Carolina. We
had a great number of members attending, along with our new
Region 5 Directors, Wanda & Gary Smith. We also had two new
members attend their first rally.
A welcome social started the rally and reviewing the busy agenda.
Tom Johnson’s Camping World provided a “Check Your Brakes”
seminar for our members that was well received by all. They
also provided several new Newmar RV’S for us to check out and
dream a little.
A Race Track tour, Hendricks Race Museum and Aquarium tours
were highlights of the rally, that all enjoyed. Good food, some fun
and making new friends where highlights of the Rally
We attended the first Palmetto Pals luncheon meeting April 12th in
Leesburg, South Carolina. Eighteen members were in attendance.
Good food, good friends and fun were had by all.
We are beginning to plan our trip to Pueblo, Colorado. Peggy &
Roger Weeks are heading up a caravan west and we will join up
with them in St Lewis, Missouri. We are so looking forward to
this trip. After the International Rally we will join the Grand Circle
Caravan with Phyllis & Jerry Rose are leaders, we have traveled
with them on several other caravan’s.
Happy RVing… hope to see you along the way.

TENNESSEE
To all our wonderful NEWMAR Kountry Klub friends; Charlene
& I want to thank you for your thoughts, prayers, notes,
e-mails and your total out pouring of friendship and love.
By the time you read this I, Phil, will be almost 8 weeks postop from a triple by-pass. I am sure many of you have endured
this life saving procedure and have led my way in recovery.
The downside of this unexpected event was Charlene & I had
to cancel the Tennessee State Rally scheduled April 25-29.
Looking forward: We here in Tennessee are excited
about the announcement of great friends, Gary & Wanda
Smith as our new Region 5 Directors and look forward
to the many ways the Volunteer State NKK members and
Charlene & I can work with and for supporting Gary & Wanda.
We hope you folks here in Tennessee have registered
for 31st NKK International in Pueblo. If not, please take
the time right now and go to www.newmarkountryklub.
com and read all about the fantastic tours and schedule
of events our International Directors, Bob & Bonnie
Krieger, have put together for us. We look forward to
seeing many of our Tennessee Volunteer Kruisers at the rally.
I will close with this little quote, “When it’s all said and done, the
only thing that really matters is whether or not you know Jesus
Christ as your Lord and Savior!”
SOUTH CAROLINA PALMETTO PALS
We started the 2016 camping season with the Pals first luncheon
at the famous Shealy’s BBQ in Batesburg - Leesville, South
Carolina on April 11. We had 18 in attendance which was not
too bad for the first try. This was also the first day to register for
the International Rally so it was a busy day between registering
and traveling to the 12 noon luncheon.
Safe Travels and God Speed.

The next event is the Carolina’s State Directors Rally at the
Charlotte Race Track the last week of April. Philip Melvin & Becky
Garner spoke about the rally events at the luncheon and it sounds
like a great 3 day rally. We know it will be a three pound rally.
TENNESSEE VOLUNTEER KRUISERS
Bad news…Good news! Unfortunately the Volunteer Kruisers
had to post-phone and re-schedule our first rally of the year.
Now that’s the bad news. Here’s the good news. We will be
rescheduling the Tennessee State Rally for a date a little later
in our rally schedule. So, if you would have been unable to
attend Our State Rally, you now have another chance. Details
will be published in our “Calendar of Events” when they become
finalized and we hope that there will be as much interest (or
more) than there was with the first one. We would have had a
great turnout!
We have setup the Weeks’ caravan to the International Rally
again this year and there are eight members in it. We tried the
online method to register this year and all the other members
registered with no problems, however Roger had to revert to the
old Fax machine to register. He has another year to figure what
the problem is.

I hope your calendar is filling up as fast as mine. It seems
like every week there is another Newmar event happening
somewhere. I know you will find something to do in your area.
Now that the weather has finally turned nice, be sure to dust off
your rig and get on the road to somewhere fun.
VIRGINIA WHEELS
Danny & I enjoyed being
with many of our NKK
friends this winter in
Florida. It’s always fun to
just “hang out “with our
Virginia Wheels’ family and
other Newmar owners.
Also, we want to let you know that we have a few open spots
in our schedule. We are looking for someone to co-host a
rally or possibly set up a luncheon where the members can
leave their coaches at home and just join in a friendly lunch
somewhere. If you think you might be able to handle a
luncheon but don’t have the time to devote to a rally, please
call or email one of your chapter officers.
Please note that registration has begun for the International
Rally in Pueblo, Colorado in September. We will be there and
we hope you will be too. Don’t forget that if you have just 1
or 2 hours to spare, you can volunteer your time somewhere
to take the load off some of the work that others are doing.
Check with Phil & Charlene Budd, or any of the Volunteer Kruiser
officers and we can point you in the direction of the people in
charge. Denny and I look forward to seeing a record number of
people enjoying the Colorado fall weather.
One last, but very important item…We would like to wish Phil
Budd, our State Director, a speedy recovery from his recent
hospital stay. Take a break, Phil, put your feet up and enjoy the
scenery! We want you healthy and well at our next gathering!
Enjoy the weather and enjoy your rig!

By now, most Virginia
Wheelers have returned
home and are anxious
to get together again.
THEREFORE:
2016 will be an exciting year for Virginia Wheels as we
Celebrate our 25th NKK Anniversary all year!
January 14, Virginia Wheelers’ snowbirds
kicked off Virginia Wheels’ 25th NKK
Anniversary Celebration. Over 25 Virginia
Wheelers gathered at Tampa’s RV Show for
food, fun, and most important fellowship!
What fun!
May 12-15, Virginia Wheels will continue to celebrate our
25th NKK Anniversary at Luray KOA, Luray, Virginia. We’re all
looking forward to Stratford University’s Virginia’s Farm to Table
Culinary Presentation, breakfast buffet at historic Mimslyn Inn,
catered prime rib dinner in the yurt, and much more. At New
Market’s Civil War Battlefield, we’ll step back in time as we learn
from Major Marshall a detailed “on the spot” exploration of the
battle. The following day we’ll all have a chance to participate
in all the events, activities, and tactical reenactment. Courtesy
of McGeorge’s Rolling Hills RV new Newmar coaches will be on
display. Lots of fun for all attending!

2016 offers many more opportunities for Virginia Wheelers
to enjoy the fellowship of being with NKK members and

GAME NIGHT
Many of you requested we have Game Night more
than once so we will have it two nights this year
during the International Rally.
Now, we need your help! We need volunteers to step
forward to be Game Leaders. If you volunteer to be
a Game Leader, in most cases you should still be
able to play the game. During registration we will
have a table set up called “Game Table” for people
to sign up. Each Game Leader will need to let their
State/Provincial Director know if they will be a Game
Leader, along with name of game and number who
can play, which can be all the way from 4 to whatever
you recommend. If a game requires money, when
you sign up for that particular game it will list what
currency and amount you will need to bring. We will
have plenty of room set aside so if is a bean bag, or
baseball game, no problem!
So volunteer today to be a leader and let the fun
begin!

REGION 6 // IN, KY, MI, OH, WV
Region Directors :: Jerry and Phyllis Rose (10792-L)
Hey Region 6 Members; did
you know we have the best
Region and the greatest
members in the whole
Newmar Kountry Klub? Do
you know why? Cause we
said so!!
Well we’re “on the road
again.” We were beginning
to think that we were going
to have to resign before we were able to even get started on our
new job. We were motorhomeless for a while. We sold our 2002
Dutch Star back in January. Our International Directors kept
checking on us to see how the search was progressing and we
had to keep saying we did not have anything lined up. Luckily
they never brought up that you have to own a Newmar product
to be a Region Director. We finally made our deal the end of April
and picked up our new Dutch Star one week before our first rally
of the season. We had our dining room full of all the things we
all store in our units from January to May. When we brought the
new unit home it was a mad dash to throw it all in and head out
for the Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana Rally in Indiana. We had four
days before we left and in that time we also had our oldest son
graduating from The University of Dayton. It will be a while before
we can remember where we put a lot of things.
We finally have all the things set for our first Region Rally.
There should be an ad for it in this issue of the Konnection.
The easiest way to sign up is on the Newmar Kountry Klub
website. Then you can just mail your check so that it is
received before the deadline date to register. If you do not have
or use a computer just fill in the generic rally registration form that
is always at the back of the Konnection and mail to us. We do
not have a limit on how many so we say the more the merrier. We
think we have some really interesting things planned and hope you
all enjoy them. Naturally there will be food involved in this rally.
We notice that some of our chapters have not submitted forms for
rallies for some of the camping season months. We hope you have
them planned but maybe just forgot to send us the form so we
can get them listed in the Konnection and on the website. If you
don’t have the rallies planned remember you can always have a
no host rally. Just find a campground, get the information on cost,
ask them to hold the sites and contact your chapter President
and ask them to get the form filled in and pass on the info. When
everyone gets to the rally there is no need for preplanned activities.
It is surprising what people will come up with to do if it hasn’t been
planned ahead of time. Some of these rallies have been some of
the most fun we have had. I have a friend who once said “Don’t
wait for the perfect moment to do something great. Create that
moment by doing it NOW!” So here is your chance either host or
help with a no host rally and create something great.

Happy Trails to You …
INDIANA HOOSIER KOUNTRY KLUB
Many of our snowbirds have headed home for the summer, and
I’m sure getting ready to start RV’ing. As this is written we hope
that Indiana, Michigan and Ohio folks are gearing up for our joint
rally in Howe, Indiana, that was held May 9-13th. There were
lots of activities planned, as well as food, games and fun
On June 23-26, we are hosting a joint rally with the
Illinois group at Vincennes, Indiana. You should get your
reservations soon for camping at New Vision campground
(812)745-2125 to make sure you have a spot. For further
information, you can call Alice O’Brien at 317-696-6388.
At this time, we do not have a rally for July, but will have our
Region rally in August in West Virginia, followed by the
International rally in Pueblo, Colorado on September 2530th. You can find more information about this in the Konnection.
Our Hoosiers close the season with a luncheon in Kokomo the
earlier part of October.
Hope you have had a good winter and are looking forward to
traveling around to our different rallies. If you are interested in
becoming a new member, just let me know:

The summer rally season is in full swing and we hope everyone
has their rigs polished and ready to go. Our schedule has been
really busy with grandchildren’s activities (graduations, dance
recitals, etc.) and other family commitments. We have always
placed our family first and, as such, our ability to attend rallies
will be very limited and we unfortunately will not be able to attend
the International.
We continue to pray for our fellow Bluegrass Kountry Roamers
who are experiencing health issues and wish them all a speedy
return to good health.
We are always looking for rally hosts and members willing to
serve as officers of the Bluegrass Kountry Roamers chapter.
Please contact us if you have an interest – volunteering is what
keeps our Klub active and viable.
Safe travels until we meet again. We can be reached at (502) 2284025 or [email protected] or marilyn@the-mcevoys.

Klub, hosted the rally and made all the arrangements. I tell you
she is one go-getter. We began with a soup and salad welcome
supper on Monday. Tuesday and Wednesday were open days
to explore Shipshewana Flea Market and the rest of the area.
Our evenings were filled with
card games and board games.
Thursday morning after our
pancake breakfast, we were
off to Camelot, a camel dairy.
That’s right, a camel dairy. What
a great time. We heard all about
the operation of the dairy and
were able to buy products made
with camel’s milk. There was
petting and very large tongues
involved. Thursday night we
were entertained by Dane
Bailey, the Singing Auctioneer
from Fort Wayne, Indiana. What
a hoot. Friday brought us to our
coffee and good byes. The time
went by so quickly that I didn’t
get to visit with everyone. Oh
well, next month.
I hope to see everyone again at Frankfort Crystal Lake RV
Resort, in Frankfort and Vacation Station, in Ludington in
June.

Ahh--- spring is finally here! No more snow; flowers blooming,
birds chirping, RV’s coming out of winter storage. What is not
to like?
By the time this article comes out, the combined Indiana, Michigan
and Ohio Rally (at Twin Mills Camping Resort in Howe, IN) will be
history. The following week it’s down to Huntington, West Virginia
to meet with State Directors, Lisa & Ray Hollen, for their West
Virginia State Rally. Reconnecting with our many friends after
spending winter in Ohio will be a tonic.
Our next get together will be a combined Ohio/Michigan State
Rally, July 7-11, 2016 at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds in
Oak Harbor, Ohio. We hope to have a great turnout as the new
Region 6 Directors, Jerry & Phyllis Rose, and Michigan State
Directors, John & Carolyn Williams, have been working hard on
this endeavor for almost a year.

Region Directors :: Bob and Jane Hadley (16789)
Greetings from Region 7.
Arrived home in Rhode Island
the last week in April safe and
sound after a great winter
in Naples Fl. Time flew by
much too fast. So fast that
we decided to stay 6 months
in Naples next winter. While in
Naples we had the opportunity
to meet and visit with so many
Newmar owners and we did
not hesitate to introduce
ourselves and the Newmar Kountry Klub. We have found so
many owners who were not aware of our Klub especially with
coaches purchased before the Klub introduced the light bulb
program. Most were happy to take any info we had and we’re
sure we will see them down the road at a rally as new members
of the Klub. It makes us so proud to see all the Newmar coaches
on the road and in our resort this year. Newmar is certainly well
represented out there!!
June is a busy rally month for Region 7. We will have so much
to report on all our rallies in the next issue. Presently, as this
article is being submitted Region7 has 26 rigs registered for the
Region 7 Rally in Mystic, Connecticut. The Mystic Seaport
area is a great place to visit. So much to see and do we’re
sure you’ll want to come back again and again. State and
chapters all have June rallies and will have so much to write
about later.
Looking forward to our International Rally in Pueblo,
Colorado. Hope to see Region 7 will represented. We will
be looking for volunteers at International to help us in the
vendor area and at the ice cream social. Let us know if you
can help. After Pueblo we’ll be headed for the Balloon Festival
in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It should be a fun time.
Still looking for State Directors to represent Pennsylvania.
Interested? Please give us a call/e-mail and we’ll give you
info of what being a State Director means. We can even have
you speak with other state directors in our Region if you wish.
BEING A STATE DIRECTOR CAN BE A REALLY REWARDING
EXPERIENCE.

NEW ENGLAND STATES
Rally season is upon us and we can’t wait. By the time this
article is printed we will be starting our first rallies.
We have added a new rally to our summer schedule. This
year for our New England States rally, we have joined up
with a Connecticut chapter of FMCA for a dry camping rally

at Hurley field in New Hartford, Connecticut. This will be held
over the Fourth of July weekend. More info can be found in the
online calendar or call George or Cathy Keith at 860-868-2663.
Hopefully we will meet you at a campfire!! Live Each Day Like

NEW ENGLAND AIRES
The weather is turning warmer, the grass is green, most
snowbirds are back home and thoughts are turning to camping
and the coming rally season.
Since this article is being turned in prior to our June rallies, we
hope you were able to join us for the Region 7 Rally in Mystic;
the New England Aires Rally in Freedom, New Hampshire and/or
the New England States Rally in New Hartford, Connecticut. A
lot of work goes into planning and hosting these rallies and the
only way they’re successful is if our members and friends attend
them. If you haven’t attended a rally before, try coming to one.
The camaraderie, sharing of information, and learning about our
rigs, different campgrounds and experiences of others will make
it well worth your effort - to say nothing about the good food and
fun that accompanies all rallies.
Please keep in mind the rally we have coming up September
29 - October 2 at Travelers Woods of New England in
Bernardston, Massachusetts. Contact Bill Silvester at 860559-7477.

NEW JERSEY
I know this may sound nuts to many of you, but New Jersey is
really the Garden State. All you need to do is know where to
look! Granted the areas close to NYC are crowded but just go
30 miles west of NYC and the farms begin to appear. Agriculture
is the 3rd largest industry after pharmaceuticals and tourism. For
example New Jersey ranks: 5th in blueberry production, 3rd in
cranberry production and 3rd in spinach. But since there are few
campgrounds in the farming areas most of us head down to the
famous Jersey Shore. Home of the Atlantic City boardwalk and
Miss America! All the way down the shore is Cape May. This
historic Victorian seaside gem is the oldest resort and one of the
most beautiful spots in the country. The entire city is a National
Historic District, with nearly 600 preserved Victorian buildings.
- See more at: http://www.visitnj.org/city/cape-may#sthash.

All are welcome to The New Jersey State Rally which is being
held in Cape May, New Jersey June 23-26 at the recently
refurbished Lake Laurie Campground (Now known as Cape
May KOA). Only $35 a night at the Jersey Shore, that’s a great
deal! If you haven’t been there in the last year, we encourage
you to join us as they have put in new, level pull thru and back in
sites with water and electric. No sewer but pump outs available
and dump station very convenient. Campground is all the way
down the Garden State Parkway and yes motorhomes are
allowed on the GSP. We have plenty of room as of this writing
so contact me at: [email protected] for details.

JUNE/JULY 2016
Cape May is an historic, marvelous place with many attractions.
A trolley ride and historic mansion tour is planned. Also each
evening at sundown, a flag ceremony honoring a veteran to
the piped in national anthem with Kate Smith and the sunset
occurring over the Delaware Bay is performed.
We have gone over the details every which way but we will not
be able to attend this year’s International Rally in Colorado.
However New Jersey will be well represented by officers of the
New Jersey Garden Aires including Mike & Barbara Agrati, as
Treasurer and Secretary, and Bill Webster, President. By 2017 I
should be retired for good and able to get to more rallies.
Safe travels to all.
Sincerely,
Bill and Angela Mannion (19246)

NEW YORK
Most of the snow birds are back in New York, and enjoying the
cold spring weather. May is just around the corner, and I know
that it will be warmer and nicer than April. The frost will go away.
The Lakers had their first rally at Southwoods RV Resort on May
20-22 in Byron, New York. This rally has been for many years
the Lakers first rally of the season. Attendance is always good.
Fun, companionship and of course good food.
The International Rally in September the 25-30 - we will be leaving
New York on the 20th heading west. We have 1,600 plus miles to
travel, this will give us plenty of time to get there. A caravan will
leave western New York and travel to the International. If you
would like to join us in New York or in Colorado you will need to
e-mail us to plan the trip. If you want to go into the International
with us your application and your check will need to be sent
to our address. All applications will be sent to the Kountry
Klub by us. SEND YOUR APPLICATIONS TO: BOB & BARB

Questions – Call us: 716-226-4048 house or 16-863-3203 cell.
This is supposed to be a warmer than usual summer, so make
sure your air conditioner and vehicle are ready for the trip. Check

REGION 8 // NB, NF, NS, ON, PEI, QC
Region Directors :: Glen & Marg Bassindale (3387-L)
It seems we just got started
camping for this year and here it is
June already. Having just attended
the Muskoka Rambler Spring Rally
in May, we look forward to 2 other
Region 8 activities in June.
Our Region 8 Rally is scheduled
for June 17-19 in Niagara Falls at
the KOA campground on Lundy’s
Lane. Please see the ad in the
magazine for registration. This area offers a diverse option of
activities and we hope you will come join us to enjoy.
Also taking place in June is our Aurum Kountry Travelers rally
in Shediac New Brunswick, June 30 – July 3 at the Wishing Star
Campground. This is a great outing with steak and lobster
dinners and good fellowship with our Eastern neighbours. You
may contact Emery Melanson at [email protected] or
by phone 506-576-7072 for all the details. Rally fee is $150 per
couple and $40 per night for your camping fees payable direct
to the campground.
We will be leaving early in July to head west for some summer
time camping with our grandchildren who are now living in Alberta
before we attend the International Rally site in Pueblo, Colorado.
We are very excited to know that there are at least two couples
who will be making the journey to Colorado besides us. This year
again at International we will have the bus tours to look after and
looking at the lineup available to Rally goers it will be a busy time.
Hope you will take advantage of the offerings and make the bus
tours a success. The rally dates are Sun September 25-30,
2016. Check out all that there is to do and come join us for
a great fall get together.
The Special Events planned for this year have been very popular
with a couple of them being sold out. I believe there are still a
couple of spots for the Lewis and Clark Caravan taking place July
17-August 28, so if pioneer history is your passion, jump on the
trail and enjoy the travels with Larry and Katie Harrington who
are hosting this event.
If you are looking for something to do in December, check out
the Rally in the Keys with Ron & Wanda Llewellyn, scheduled
for December 5-11. See the ad within this issue.
As always, you may contact us at [email protected]
or by phone 905-689-0033 (Home) or 905-520-6217 (Cell) for
information.
Until next time......

REGION 9 // AB, BC, MB, NT, SK, YT
Region Directors :: Dave & Joanne Killey (16152-L)
I saw a sign the other day
that said “Remember that
happiness is a way of travel,
not a destination” author
Roy L. Goodman. One may
assume Roy was an RV
enthusiast by that quote.
Fact is Roy was a conductor
and not a conductor on a train,
but a conductor for musical
performances. It seems
befitting to see this on an RV since it is a fact of RV travel that
the joy is in the travel, but also in the destination for most of us
anyway. This is evident by all the postings recently on the region
Facebook pages. Such happy stories of good travel destinations
along with the adventure of the travel to get to the destination.
We all have so many great travel stories that would be great to
share to our fellow travelers via the regions Facebook page and
there is a Facebook page for every region.
This past April, Joanne & I had the pleasure of being involved with
the local chapter at the Penticton RV show where a Dogwood Klub
information table was placed alongside the display of Newmar
Motorhomes with the local dealer. Old and new members stopped
by to say hello and chat about upcoming events. A draw was
held for a one-year free membership to the local BC Dogwood
Chapter. This was won by Maggie & Dennis Hemeyer from Blind
Bay, BC. Thanks to Midtown RV for sharing their space with
us. Special thanks to the volunteers who helped put this all
together. Without their generous donation of their time, this
would not have been the success it was. A big bunch of red
roses goes to Les Wyles & Dona Guertin, Jo-Anne & Gordon
Herle and Richard & Sigi Fuhr for volunteering. Phil & Tina WalterHughes had some health issues develop so was unable to attend,
but we thank him all the same.
The International Rally deadline is not until September 7, so
you still have time to register. If you are already registered,
make sure you stop by and say hello to us while you’re at the
rally. We will be in the Klub store.
International Rally. Then we will enjoy some R&R as we attend
a Newmar Special Event - The Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta (sold
out). This has been on our bucket list for many years and it is high
time it came off that list.
As Region 9 Directors, we like to “think outside the box”
and throw things out there to see if they work. Things like:
- Unhosted rally Gifts – First timers $50 off coupon – Klub
Membership Benefits – Region 9 bi-monthly newsletter - Kountry
Klub Kup Challenge - and a few more. But, it seems like our
thinking caps do not work as good as they once did. Does that
sound familiar? So, it is with this in mind that we are looking
for suggestions for “what’s next”. Please send us your
suggestions of what you would like to see or the direction
you would like to see the Klub take.
We meet – we part – we hope to meet again.
ALBERTA
Greetings from Alberta, Canada! The Provincial/ Alberta Wild Rose
Rally was June 2-5, 2016. It is now a pleasant memory.
It is an event that we can remember and talk about in the coming
years. Reconnecting with old friends and making new friendships
is always fun. We were reading an article in our local paper and “Dan’s Quote of
the week “was food for thought...Titled...LEARNING- “Learning is
a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.” Chinese Proverb.
Some of us have spent years in school. Some of us have shelves
full of books. Some of us seek the advice and counsel of experts.
Some of us try to find answers to questions on our own. We
stop learning when we stop asking questions and looking for
answers. We never need to stop learning. I don’t think of learning
as a formal education but as something I do every day. - Viking
Review Newspaper
We, as RVers, are always learning from the places we visit and the
people we meet. Let us challenge ourselves and learn something
new every day.
Have a wonderful summer filled with FUN, FROLIC, and
FRIENDSHIPS. Dennis and Dianne Kolybaba (19560)
Alberta Provincial Directors
As the summer travels progress, take a look at the Klub’s
calendar of events and take in a Newmar function or rally along
your planned travel route. As a member in good standing of the
Newmar Kountry Klub, you are welcome to join in any Klub rally.
Our June will be filled with travel as we start out attending the
Alberta Rally in Drumheller then back to British Columbia for
a rally in Fort Steele. August we will join the British Columbia
Dogwood chapter with a 10 day rolling rally to Vancouver
Island (sold out) which promises to be a great adventure with
plenty of Newmar activities to keep us all occupied. Thanks to
Robert & Theresa Fraser for hosting this rally. I know it has been
a challenge to put this one together, but will be well worth it.

Cancellation Policy For Region,
State, Provincial Rallies
Due to the large number of late cancellations, the Kountry Klub
has experienced significant financial losses from non-refundable
commitments made during the planning stages.
A new Region, State/Provincial Rally “Cancellation Policy” is being
implemented.
1)An administrative fee of $10/person will be charged. This fee will cover
costs associated with processing your rally registration and will be
included in the rally fees as advertised.
2)Members who register for a rally and then:
a)For whatever reason, cancel a minimum of 35 days prior to the start
of the rally will receive a full refund, less the administrative fee of $10/
person.
b)Cancel 34 to 8 days prior to the start of a rally will be charged for any
non-refundable commitments made on your behalf in addition to the
$10/person fee.
c) Cancel 7 or less days prior to the start of a rally will receive No Refund
on any portion of the rally fee paid.
3)Members who register for a rally and do not advise the Hosts that they
will not be attending will receive no refund.
4)All refunds will be made at the conclusion of the rally.
PLEASE NOTE: Planning any rally requires long-term organization. Many service
providers require non-refundable financial commitments. Because these deposits
and financial commitments are often made well in advance of any rally, this policy
becomes a necessity.

THE
EXPERIENCE
it all starts with SUPERIOR RIDE & HANDLING
Owners and test drivers alike say they can "feel the difference" of a Spartan, the minute they take the
wheel. That’s because Spartan chassis are built to handle better, from the ground up: from a more
comfortable ride to their tighter turn radius, to Spartan’s wider, stouter, more reliable stance, Spartan
chassis feel different, because they are different.
