SWIMMING AND SAFETY We strive to promote pool safety and prevent accidents around your facility through active supervision, facility safety checks, safety education, swimming lessons and enforcement of pool rules. It is only through a partnership between your family and the Splash staff that we are able to maintain a safe, relaxing and enjoyable environment for your family and guests. Children may use the pool unaccompanied by a guardian IF they can pass a swim test conducted by the staff. Please be aware that the lifeguard staff has the authority to close the pool at any time. Swimmers may be sent home unexpectedly. Swimmers who are dependent on floatation devices to swim must be accompanied by a guardian who is in the water within one arms reach, ACTIVELY WATCHING THEM. Be aware that drowning remains the second leading cause of accidental death for children ages 1-14 in the United States. Let’s work together to keep our families safe around the water! LIGHTNING POLICY & INCLEMENT WEATHER During a thunder and lightning storm, the lifeguards will adhere to the National Lightning Safety Institute policy and require all swimmers to exit the water and pool deck, and remain out of the water and off of the deck for 30 minutes after the last sound of thunder. If the storm hinders swimming for 60 minutes, the pool will close until the storm has subsided. For the safety of pool members and their guests the staff has the authority to clear the grounds and close the facility during any thunder or lightning storm. Swimming in the rain is permitted as long as the bottom of the pool can be seen. If the outside temperature is below 65 degrees the pool will be closed. A sign will be posted on the gate to inform members of the closure. © 2017 Splash Pool Services, Inc.
