President’s Message
Colby A. Smith; CCIM,CPM® RPA
It is my pleasure to write
this short message to Chapter 58 membership. We
traveled to New York City in
March to attend the IREM
Region 1,2 &3 Meetings at
the New York Marriott
Downtown. Great regional
event to review the organization strategic path and to
network. While there we
also attended the Asset &
Property Management Symposium sponsored by Greater New York Chapter 26 at
the New York Academy of
Sciences. Very interesting
presentations of new technologies as well as time test-

Don’t miss out on upcoming meetings. Coming June 16th, is an
awesome event with the tour of the Black Button Distillery. The
tour and event runs from 4:00pm– 7:00pm. We have toured
Breweries and Wineries, now come checkout Whiskey Distillery with us. Shots! Don’t forget in July is our 14th Annual Golf
Tournament. Monday, July 17th at Shadow Lake Golf and Racquet Club. Even if you are not a golfer, you should attend the
tournament for fun of the scramble, a little swing practice, a
chance to win great prizes, and/or a business day spent outdoors! Not to mention Chapter 58 will be making a donation to
the Ronald McDonald House Charities with your help. Contact
the Chapter to sign up. We are also looking for sponsorships.
This is a great way to get your company’s name out there to

IREM members to be shy, so please speak up and volunteer an hour or two of your time. Although the politicians are back in sessions, the staff at the local offices
are extremely knowledgeable and are more than willing to meet you. They are the resource the officials
rely upon, so I urge you to reach out to them.
