Life of Christ • The Mysteries of the Rosary highlight many important parts of Jesus’ life • Stained glass windows are from St. Thomas • Incarnation – Jesus becoming Human Life of Christ • Childhood – Nativity & Finding in the Temple Life of Christ During Jesus’ life, He • Recruited the Apostles and sought out disciples • Taught by telling parables • Proclaimed the Kingdom of God • Performed Miracles • Prayed and observed Holy Days Life of Christ Passion, Death and Resurrection Life of Christ Ascension Life of the Church Early Church in the New Testament • Acts of the Apostle • Paul’s missions through the Mediterranean areas writing to the Churches • Other writers like John and Peter. • Christians witnessing to Jesus by the way they live their lives Life of the Church • Spread of the Church from Jerusalem • Christianity becoming accepted by the Roman Empire (Edict of Milan in 313 AD) • Development of Doctrines/Teachings by Councils (Bishops gathering to define them as a group) • Catholic Responses to Historical events • Christians witnessing to Jesus by the way they live their lives Life of the Church • Church of Today • Christians witnessing to Jesus by the way they live their lives You are the Church
