We have two great new projects this year on Freshwater Creek thanks to the
Queensland Government’s Everyone’s Environment Grant and the Australian
Government’s 25th Anniversary Landcare Grant. These grants are for two years
and are two separate projects – one upstream and one downstream of
Freshwater Creek but adding up to one great result for environmental values of
the area. The Earth Hour planting marked the start of one of the first project,
and this Sunday we will be celebrating this project launch with a Welcome to
Country ceremony and tree planting on St. Andrew’s Flats. On April 26, we will
start planting out Site 2 of the project – along the new Goomboora/Rocks bike
path starting near the Goomboora Park Bridge end….Hope to see you there,
Lisa 
