LASCAUX II
Lascaux II, opened in 1983 and is the exact copy in three dimensions
of Lascaux cave. The two galleries which are reproduced there are
“The Bulls Chamber” and the “Axial Recess” showing 90% of the
paintings of the original cave. Horses, aurochs, bisons, stags, ibexes
and bears will testimony the perfect knowledge that magdaleniens
had of their environment, and the perfection of the drawing.

Grotte de Bara-Bahau
This prehistoric cave, a listed historical monument, features very large,
authentic engravings dating from 15,000 years ago, including enigmatic
symbols, a hand and phallus, and a bear, deer and aurochs. A number of
bear claw marks are proof that these animals came into the caves long
before Cro-Magnon man set foot here. The cave includes a very large,
wide cavern lined with eccentric stalactites and marine strata.
